Chapter 12: Family holiday

Chloe's PoV
"MAMAN! Jacqueline is being mean!"
"MAMAN, Marius is annoying me!"
I sigh frustratedly, "ENOUGH you two! You have been arguing the whole car ride and I will NOT have it! Your father and I can never spend time anymore and the one time we can...I do not want anymore arguing or talking for the rest of the journey!"
There is silence. Luka whispers, "bee, that was a bit harsh."
I sadly fiddle with my fingers.
"...sorry maman..." Jacqueline says.
"Yeah... we know adu- adul- papa!"
"Adult?"
"Yeah, adult life is hard..."
"...WOW!" Jacqueline suddenly lets out.
I look out and see the blue ocean and a sandy beach. Luka parks and we get out. I kneel down to their height.
"...umm... I'm sorry kids. I just... there's reasons, why I get so upset... you two are siblings... I don't want you both to lose what a special connection siblings have. You two have to back each other up as though it's you against the world..."
They look at each other and hug. I happily watch the two make up.
Luka wraps his arm around my waist, "well mon amour, what now?"
I smile, "let's just have some fun." I say as our two children take our hands and walk with us along the pathway that led to the beach.
Luka sets up our deckchairs, mat and pulls out the shovels and buckets. I pull out the picnic basket that I had prepared as well as some blankets.
"Jacqueline!" Marius exclaims, "look at that big boat!"
They point at a large cruise boat, which had a ton of people lining up for. I smile, "we'll go later if you'd like..."
"...I don't know," Jacqueline says shyly, "I think it's just too big... I want to stay here!"
Marius whines, "Jacqueline! Are you outta your mind?! Look at it! IT'S A BIG BOAT!"
"Ok Marius... we'll go don't worry!" I say as I lie down on the deckchair and yawn.
"Hey Chlo," Luka whispers, "do you wanna cuddle for a bit... I kinda miss doing it so yknow..." he asks as he sits on the mat.
I giggle, "I'd love to!" I sit in his lap and we cuddle.
"Honey," he whispers, "I really have missed you."
"Me too... we've just been so busy," I sigh. He leans in and I smile as he kisses me.
"MOMMY! DADDY!"
We let out a groan.
"Yes?"
"You two are cute!" They giggle.
We laugh and join the kids and help make the sandcastles with them.

Luka's PoV
It had been two hours since we had gotten to the beach. Chloe has taken Jacqueline to get into her swimsuit and Chloe had also gone to change into hers. It's a bit weird to say but I'm excited. Chloe has been too. She said that she's 'beach body ready' whatever that means because she's still beautiful to me but she said that she just "wasn't comfortable to wear a bikini with the baby fat still there."
"Daddy!" A familiar voice says. I turn and see my baby girl in a lemon print swimsuit.

Chloe comes out shyly with a towel around her body.
"Hang on..." she blushes. Taking it off, I gulp as I see her bikini.

As the kids run down to the ocean, Chloe comes up to me, "Wh-What do you think?"
"I think I want to take you right here, right now."
She snorts, "yeah sure, because that'll go down well with the other million people here..."
"It's just a joke."
"I know, I was joking too babe."
"Mommy!" Marius exclaims, "I don't like it! It's scary!"
She nods and joins our son, who motions at the waves, "too strong!"
Jacqueline, however, excitedly grabs my hand and drags me slightly deep in.
"Hey," I whisper to the young girl who's kicking the water, "watch this!" I smirk as Jacqueline watches me pick up Chloe and, as she screams/giggles, I carry her deep in.
"LUKA! Put me down! No- WAIT!"
I dip half her body into the water and she closes her eyes. I laugh and she cries.
"Oh no, Chlo! I'm sorry bee!" I exclaim as I bring her back on shore. Jacqueline and Marius crowd around us.
"...I GOT YOU!" She squeals as she laughs.
"What?!" I exclaim.
The kids confusedly watch as Chloe and I laugh really hard. I look at Chloe, who is smiling beautifully...
"You're beautiful Chloe."
She blushes, "oh shush!"
"Mommy?" Jacqueline asks, "that person looks familiar!"
I look with Chloe towards the tall figure.
"It's your uncle Felix! And Kagami!"
"Uncle Felix! AUNT KAGAMI!" Jacqueline squeals. At the same moment, Adrien and Marinette emerge from behind with Emma and Louis hand in hand.
"Hey Kagami!" Chloe smiles, hugging them, "how's the baby Mrs Agreste?"
"Hey Chloe!"
"The baby is doing fine," Marinette tiredly says, "me on the other hand, not so much!"
They set up their stuff next to us.
"So Kagami, how comes your here?" Luka asks.
Kagami says, "well, I was in the area and saw those three and Bridgette, whose gone to get some food for Marinette."
Quick update: Bridgette is Marinette's cousin. She moved to France about 5 years ago and lived in China before. She is also half french and she is related to Marinette through her mum and Marinette's mum. She does professional dance and acts a bit as well in some plays.
Felix is Adrien's cousin and moved to China to go to some acting school. He came to France about 9 years ago. He is an aspiring actor and moved to France to be part of a french company, which Chloe is kind of a part of.
"Hey Marinette! You look great!"
"Hey Luka, looking as fine as usual."
"Hey princess," Adrien says, "die down with the flirting."
"HEY! I wasn't flirting with him! Don't be ridiculous!"
I confusedly look at the two who begin to argue.
"They've been arguing because Marinette flirted with Felix."
"IT was a JOKE. You should know all about them Mr "She's Just A Friend" Agreste!"
...
"Maman! What does that mean?" Their 5 year old girl, Emma asks.
"...doesn't matter. Go, have fun with your dad..."
Marinette sits on the mat sadly and Bridgette and Chloe go to comfort her.
"Hey dude," I say to Adrien, "that was a bit too much. Are you ok? I can-"
"No! Nothing is ok," he replies as Emma and Louis drag him across to the water. I take Marius and Jacqueline with me too.
"Me and Marinette are growing apart and it's because we've been so busy with work and the kids and...work and...the kids! It's like the universe is telling us that it's not meant to be."
I hum, "no. I won't accept that you two aren't meant to be! Because of you both, me and Chloe got together. If it weren't for your relationship, we wouldn't be together. It's going to be hard, especially since you're expecting another child but you have to be there for each other, and you know, Marinette's hormones are ALL over the place so she'll need the most love and support than ever."
"...thanks Luka. I think I needed that..."

Adrien's PoV
I walk over to Marinette and Chloe goes to help Luka with the kids. Kagami, Felix and Bridgette walk away and I sit besides her.
"Hey..."
"Hi..."
I sigh, "mon amour, mon bugginette..."
She sighs back, "yes mon chaton?"
"... I'm... sorry. I didn't think of how you were feeling."
"It's ok... we've not had some time together in ages!"
"Maybe we can let someone babysit them one night, like Kagami or something..."
"Maybe..."
"I'm so sorry m'lady..."
She shakes her head and hugs me, "don't be."
I kiss her cheek and she smiles.
Bridgette and Felix walk over, "hey guys, we were talking and we want to babysit your kids tonight. You two should go and have some fun."
"Really?" I ask.
"Yeah, after all you've done for us, of course!"
"You guys! C'mon, get down here and give me a hug."
Felix waves his hand, "nah, I'm fine, thanks."
"Felix!" Bridgette muffles from underneath our hug. Sighing, he joins in and Bridgette flicks him on his head.
"HEY!"
She giggles and he scoffs, with a slight smile.

I think I have finished this book. I'm going to write another Lukloe but we'll see if any ideas come to my head.
