I stretched my arms as I climbed out of my bed, Nolan's father had given us hours off of work for us just to get to know each other and now this is how he spends it.

I change into some new fresh clothes and walk downstairs, ready to make my breakfast. Now I am an extraordinary person, a regular person would probably poison her food, but I've decided to learn more about her and who knows maybe even be her friend, you may say oh my goodness Natalie is delusional. but at the same time, I'm gonna make Nolan feel so uncomfortable, he won't even be able to move.

I started making pancakes batter and frying on my bacon. I was kinda proud of my self that I didn't burn it, it was a job well done. Just as I was plating my masterpiece Nolan comes down in sweatpants and a bare chest. I can tell he's upset, and at me, since he's holding the clothes I washed with my lavender scent plastered all over them.

"What the fuck is this", he stormed down the stairs as I stare at his open chest, beautiful with horrid humor. He threw the clothes on the floor as he walked down.

"Easy Easy, I put hard work into washing these", I said as he huffed and puffed and I went into my little corner to refold them.

"What is the matter with you", he asked as he watered at the sight of my cooked food.

"I'm just a caring wife who married a man who has no heartbeat", I muttered as he gripped my arm.

"What did you just say", he gripped harder.

"I said I married a man with no heartbeat", I spat at him as he let me go. He wiped it away and left me alone for the rest of that quite a morning. He needed space and so did I.

"I'm going to work today", I told him as I ate my bacon leaving half on a plate.
"I'll see you later", I called out to him letting him know that he wasn't the boss of me.

As I left the room with a peep coming from him I peeked behind the walls to see him chowing down on my pancakes and bacon. I smiled I was definitely surprised he ate them, I mean I guess he had been that hungry.

I changed into a black tuck in the top and into a checkered white and black skirt and put on a pair of black heels and grabbed my bag.

I went down the stairs as I saw him chowing on the pancakes

I went down the stairs as I saw him chowing on the pancakes.

"You liked them", I assumed as how fast he was eating them.

"Whatever", he said as he turned around and saw me dressed in my work attire. He walked closer and closer to me and then scaled my body with his mischievous eyes.

"Your beautiful" he whispered as I blushed and he took his finger and went against my curled wisps of hair in the front. As he leaned forwards more into me I knew what he was doing a stern no would do the trick.

"And you're an arrogant bastard", I said as I stomped my heel on his foot as he cursed as I walked off. Smiling and Blushing, the pain I had learned to handle, and not caring I had mastered, but feelings hurt and I couldn't live with it. I couldn't breathe he made me feel imitated, but I reminded myself of my values, but I knew there was going to be a point where he would touch me and I would meet at his little stroke.

I went out of the penthouse doors as I breathed in the cold, breeze. The man tipped his hat to me as I smiled and caught a cab, drifting into the city.

"Lawerence Corporate Building please", I said as I searched for my wallet as he said in a husky voice
"sir, he spoke with a strong southern accent.

The car ride was small with little small talk but he sneaked glances at me every second he could. As If I didn't see them as he would bend down to see me in the mirror.

Once I saw the building I slid out and gave him money as he thanked me and drove me away, there was something about him that made me extremely uncomfortable.

I greeted the secretary as I made my way to the elevator reaching to my father's desk.

"Excuse me, ma'am, you can't go in there", he said as he locked the doors.

I showed my ID as he unlocked the door and let me in, they never thought I was his daughter cause I had only been there at work. I owned 30% of the company as my mother and father had created it together and when she passed she gave me her part. I owned 30% of the company but I got paid an average worker.

He said because it was a pain to raise me, yet I knew I needed the money and just tried keeping my head down.

The company was always owned and operated by him. He wouldn't let me touch a single thing with the higher-ups. He hated me, it was obvious.

He had called me in, to make sure that I was keeping my side of the contract. And if I didn't there would be punishments, none that would change my opinion of the scumbag he was.

it's over abuse, just skip the chapter up to here.

I arrived at my father's floor and made my way to find the secretary waiting for me. She smiled shyly as she led me inside, she opened the door as he acted joyful to see me. She closed the door and his facial expression slipped I got ready for my shield.

"You're late", he angrily spoke as he turned around facing the skyline of the city.

"Sorry", I mumbled as I took a seat on the plush leather seats. He shut the curtains as he turned around. Anger flared in his eyes, making me fear him even more.

"You know sometimes I get so mad", he kicked the chair next to me as I flinched. never fight back was my one rule. The chair flew across the room ending at a bookcase as he got closer to me I remembered my mother's last words
"Bravery, my sweet angel", she said her words pierced as his hard hand grabbed my neck and picked me off the chair. I couldn't breathe, I didn't breathe I was ready to die. I was ready.

"You stupid bitch he could never love you, you are horrendous", he said as he flung me across the room. I was as skinny as a twig of how many times they had starved me and how when I moved out I had to make my own living.

I could take the beatings, I could take the punches, but what scared me the most was the talk, how could someone I had loved, someone who had taken me to the park and father-daughter dances, then treat me like I'm not a human being.

As I opened my eyes he came closer to me as he kicked me in the gut. He moved to the bookcase as he knocked over the books all falling on the floor as I  tried to get up he knocked me back down.

"Get up you bitch, now go seduce him and get his money just like you do every day you whore", he spits at me as I gathered myself feeling the sharp pain in my stomach as I tried to pull myself up as he found amusement in watching me struggle to stand up. I unevenly walked to the door as I heard a chuckle from his foul mouth.

I limped out as the secretary handed me a jacket that I covered myself with. It had become a routine we didn't talk she handed me a jacket and helped me to the elevator.

"Take this, it'll get you a ride home", Massey, the secretary handed me the money as I remembered my bag in my fathers' room still. The elevator door closed and I ducked my head as I got off the first floor and headed for the bustling streets of the city.

I stopped for a moment as I took a deep breath of air I stared at my battered wrists and let out a single tear I wanted this to stop, but I didn't have the power to say no.
