A Random Coltis story

Chapter 2

Colt's P.O.V.

As I was going to the eastern part of the town, I stumbled upon Shelly, who was shooting at the bats swarming around her. I quickly grabbed my guns and start helping her shoot down the bats. No too long, most of the bats were dead and the remaining bats that were alive retreated.

"whew that was close" she said with a relief.

"I know, good thing I stumbled upon you on the way to the eastern part of town" I said to her.

"Oh please don't. There are more bats there. You might get hurt!" she replied.

"Thank you for your concern but I need to investigate as to why this is all happening. Don't worry, I'll try to be careful"

"Well at least let me tag along. Its dangerous there and you might need backup in case the bats decides to attack you"

"No need Shelly. I can do this on my own and besides, you're hurt.  You need yo check those wounds out."

she sighed in defeat, "Fine, but please be careful. Who knows what might happened"

I nodded in affirmation, "yes, I will. Thank you."

I then turn around and left.

Shelly's P.O.V.

I started walking toward the town hospital to get my wounds checked out. While on the way, I can't help but worry for Colt. He's out there alone and he might end up dead if we won't back him up sooner. So I started running towards the hospital which is now in sight. I quickly entered and got the nurse to clean my wounds. When the nurse was done, I ran out of the hospital and went straight to Penny's house, which is the closest. I knocked on the door and waited impatiently for her to  open it. For a few moments, she answered the door.

"Penny I need your help, we need to go to the eastern side of town and back up Colt." I said

"Oh don't tell me he's playing the hero here is he?"

"You may say that. Anyways, we need to hurry. Go to the circle and wait for me there while I call us more people."

"ok see you there then, I'll see if I can call more people"

I nodded at her then went on our separate ways. I quickly went to the closest mine where I found Dynamike playing with his pet.

"MIKE!" I called.

"What?! what!?" he said in a startled voice.

"I need you help. We need to back up Colt. He's currently in the eastern side of town. You know what happened there right??"

"Yes I do know what happened there. Bats swarmed that part of town right?"

"Yes, that's right"

"And you are telling me that Colt went there on his own. Like he's all alone!?"

"Yes"

"Well then let's hurry up and help him then!" he then turned around to face the entrance of the mine. "CARL, HURRY UP AND GET YOUR MINECART HERE RIGHT NOW!!" He shouted.

not too long, Carl, an apprentice of Mike, came out of the cave while holding his pickaxe.

"What's the matter boss?" Carl asked

"Shelly here told me that Colt went to the eastern side of town all alone. Probably to investigate" Mike answered.

"Oh that is quite stupid of him to go there without back up" Carl responded.

"I know, but he's a sheriff. His responsibility has made him stubborn. That is why we need to take matters in our own hands, if we don't, he'd end up dead."

"You got a point boss, so are we going there and help him?" Carl asked again

"Yep, now Shelly," Mike faced me, "Lead the way"

I smiled

"Thank you." I then went back to the town's circle with them trailing behind.
