Warmth, a humming that was melodic and yet soft. I felt surrounded, cuddled- like the little bear in those downy commercials who wraps himself in the soft looking blanket.. or towel.. whatever it is. I felt like that, and then it stopped. The warmth lingered but I didn't feel surrounded and cuddled. I didn't exactly feel alone, it was difficult to explain.
"My Sweet, wake up my sweet." His melodic voice invaded my head, it called to me, woke me from the inside out. My eyes fluttered open, bright light above shinning down at me. It was so bright and warm and... there were two orbs. Two very bright orbs surrounded by blue. I shielded my eyes as I sat up, after realizing I was laying down still. Green grass around me as I looked around, taking note of the few white flowers to my right. My hand was suddenly warm, I looked at it to see Jimin's hand holding mine. He was back to his more human form, his Dragon laying dormant once more. I looked at him and he smiled at me, soft brown eyes staring at mine. He helped me to my feet, I noticed our bags being taken by two large men in strange armor.
"Don't worry, those are guards, they're taking our things inside. Your suitcase will be taken to your room." He said as he intertwined his fingers with mine. I liked the feeling it gave me, warmth and belonging. Jimin led me passed giant strange looking pillars, that soon turned to Arches and a very large castle. Right, he's a King- I don't know why I wasn't expecting something like this. It looked like a white castle, the two orbs in the sky made it sparkle when the light hit it just right.
"Two suns." Jimin pointed out. I nodded.
"Ah, I was wondering if I'd gone blind and just imagined them when I woke up." I replied. He chuckled beside me.
"Nah, in all the years my kind has been traveling back with a human only five have ever gone blind when they woke up, you're chances were small." He smirked, he was teasing. I nudged myself into him and giggled. He led me up the front stairs of what was now my new home, the two guards on either side of the large wooden doors lowered their heads in a bow to us, mostly to Jimin I think.
Inside the light was shining through the large arching windows that were open. The marble flooring was shimmering in all the light. We were met in a fairly large are that must have been a foyer like front room by an old woman who was wearing a long deep gray dress with a white apron.
"King Jimin, welcome home. You're mother should be along shortly, as well as the others." She said with a rough but kind voice. Her eyes grazed over me and her smile grew.
"Mrs. Ida this is my mate- Tourmaline." He said as he looked at me, the same warm look in his eyes. "Mrs. Ida here is in charge of the Royal nursery. She took care of me and my brothers when we were just dragonlings. She'll be looking after our dragonlings in the future." He said with a smile, excitement as his eyes disappeared into those cute half moons. I couldn't help but to smile back. "In fact.. how is Sister Pearl doing?" He asked, that caught my attention. We had heard she was pregnant but I think a part of me refused to believe it.
"Oh she's coming along well. Difficult to get up but we have a wheelchair for her. Your brother tries to carry her everywhere but it's uncomfortable to be carried around like a sack of potatoes when you're carrying a dragonling. Bare that in mind when it's your turn majesty, no carrying your bride around unless you want to cause her discomfort." She said with a pointed finger at him. He bowed to her and nodded.
"Thank you for the lesson Mrs. Ida. I will remember it well." He smiled at her and she grinned back. Just then the two looked down the hall to the left. I saw there figures as they approached. Slowly the figures became more clear. Familiar faces, and some I didn't know. Suddenly Jimin's hand was released in force from mine as two men straight up tackled him.
