Jimin and I showered the next morning when we awoke. As we ate breakfast we decided today would be the day, the day we'd leave. After breakfast I went to my room to pack what I might need, Jimin went to talk with Lee.

"So you're really leaving?" I heard the soft voice from my doorway. I turned from my suitcase to see Emerald and Amethyst standing there. Both with slightly somber expressions on their faces.

"Yeah. I got that... true calling thing. Heh, it's about time right?" I said with a half smile on my face.

"Right, if that's really what this is." Emerald replied.

"Yes, I'm his mate. Like Pearl and Sapphire, it's a calling sort of thing I guess." I stepped closer to them. Emerald was the first to give me a hug, Ames then hugged us both. "I'll be fine, you both will be fine without me around all the time." I added.

"Being fine is not the same as being happy. You know you leaving like them will only make us sad." Ames said softly. "We're family, but we've already lost two members of our family... and now we're losing you." I could hear the strain in her voice, she was holding back tears. Emerald on the other hand began to quietly sob into my shoulder.

"Great, so it's true." I heard another voice from my doorway, I looked up to see Citrine. Her hair beautifully flowing down in a ponytail behind her. Makeup on point as usual, and her outfit just as fashionable as one would expect from someone like her. "You know, if you people keep leaving me I'm going to need some serious therapy for my abandonment issues." She smirked as she too wrapped her arms around the three person hug we were in. I laughed lightly at her remarks.

"Well don't worry, I think a shrink would tell you it's all in your head anyway. You're not the type of person to get upset over these things." I rebutted and she smirked and nodded.

"Maybe I like you." She teased, she was like this. I liked her sense of humor, and her ability to make light of situations. We parted, the group hug leaving me feeling a little bit colder. I forced the smile though, I wanted them to know I'd be fine. I was so sure I'd be fine.

"We won't get to talk to you often... look how rarely we get to talk to Pearl or Sapphire." Emerald mopped a bit.

"You have to contact us more than them, make them contact us too." Amethyst replied. I ran my fingers through her hair and smiled at her.

"I'll yell at them, and I'll demand one of those communicator things. I promise I will try my best to be in better contact than the two of them." I was trying to reassure them... and maybe myself.

They left me to finish packing, making me promise another goodbye before I left. I was going to hold to that, I didn't want to disappoint them.

-------------------

"You know I'm mad at you, right?" Red fire-like eyes stared at me from the staircase. "This is such bullshit, why do you have to go? He can go, or stay- But you shouldn't be going anywhere." It hurt, mostly because I knew she was hurt. Ruby got along with all of us, but Pearl, Sapphire, and myself were the three she actually fully trusted. Which isn't an easy thing for her... and now, just like the two before, here I was leaving her.

"Ruby..."

"No! I don't want to hear whatever excuse you're going to use. I get it... Dragon boy's a good lay so you're going to go run away with him now and forget about your family... forget about us.." It stung, the hurt in her voice was clear and it cut me deep.

"Not an excuse Ruby. It's fate..." I tried to explain.

"Bullshit! There's no such thing as fate! No one decides these things but us, we choose! And you're choosing the wrong thing." She was mad... better she be mad at me than anyone else.

"Yes, I did choose. I chose to accept it, hate me for it. It won't change my choice though Rubes. You know the kind of person I am. I'm no different from Sapph or Pearl- Headstrong and stubborn. Like you, only a little on the amazingly bitchy side." I grinned at her, hoping this would lessen the initial blow.

"Don't try to butter me up Blondie." She retorted. I laughed, her teasing was a good sign. The hate wasn't deep, she was just going to need some time.

"Want me to see if they got a Dragon sized flame thrower over there for you?" I asked her, and for a brief moment she was going to smile. She pulled back though and glared at me.

"I know what you're trying to do, it won't work!" She crossed her arms over her chest and stomped her foot on the stair she was standing on.

"Oh would you cut your shit Rubes? Tour's trying to say goodbye to you and you're acting like a spoiled child." Citrine to the rescue with her bluntness. Ruby pouted and then jumped off the step and launched her smaller body at me. I laughed and embraced her in my arms.

"You be good Ruby, the others need you to be the guard dog." I felt her chuckle against me.

"You better keep that promise of contacting us more, and you better make the other two contact us as well." She replied. I nodded and she pulled away, she turned to Jimin and he didn't seem that intimidated.

"And if you. EVER. And I do mean EVER, hurt her in any way so help me... They're going to need some special ops Dragons to find your damn body.... you're highness." Ruby mocked a bow and Jimin grinned but I noticed he swallowed a bit while taking a step back. I think if any human could frighten a Dragon, it of course was Ruby.

"Are we ready?" Lee asked as he opened the front door. Jimin looked at me and I nodded.

"I guess that's it. Peri, try not to cause trouble."

"Me? Never." He smiled and I laughed, knowing very well that trouble was his specialty. One last hug from everyone was given, and I waved as I walked out the door with Jimin by my side.

The drive to the mountain top wasn't long, but it was annoying with all the snow. We got up there and Lee did a quick look around, luckily the sun was setting, so the chance of hikers was low. However you could never be too safe.

"Alright, it looks clear. I don't smell any humans, and no tracks. You better make it quick just in case though." Lee said to us. Jimin nodded and pulled our luggage to the middle, I followed behind him. Lee came over and gave me one last hug.

"You're going to be great for our home. I can tell. Jimin, you keep her safe." he said and Jimin nodded.

"Make sure the others don't get too sad without me." I replied. He laughed and walked back to his car. Turning to watch us, making sure we got going okay. I turned to Jimin, he smiled and kissed me softly.

"Don't worry."

"I'm not." I replied.

"You're face says it all. I already told you how this goes. You'll be fine."

"I'm nervous." I replied and he chuckled with a nod of his head.

"That's normal, Just focus on the light, and my voice." And that's what I did. I stood there, hands clutching the suitcases as suddenly a purple glow formed around both of us. We were soon engulfed in this bright purple light. Oddly enough it wasn't like looking at the sun, you know where it starts to hurt your eyes and you end up looking away. No this light had no effect on my eyes, other than making it impossible to see anything, even Jimin. But soon I could feel something. I was lifted, I remembered then that Jimin said it's best to lay down. So I crouched down, feeling for whatever I was on. It felt rough, scaly, but not unpleasant. This had to be Jimin's Dragon. I laid down, and I listened for his voice.

"That's it my sweet, lay down. Close your eyes and just focus on my voice." I did, I closed my eyes and I listened as Jimin began to sing a soft sweet song, one I'd never heard before. Soon I was drifting to sleep to the melodic tune. Nothing but warmth filled me, warmth and his beautiful voice.

(A/N: I know it's a short chapter but the next one should be longer. I just didn't want to mesh this in with the next one. Happy Reading.)
