Chp 4 - The Hauntings 🎃

That night, Hayley was asleep on her bed. She was sweating and restless. She woke up from some faint noises coming from the door of her room. She sat up on her bed and turned the lamp next to her bed. She stared at the door for a while and then went back to sleep. After few minutes, she woke up again for the same reason. She kept hearing the faint noises from the door again. She stood up and opened the door. There was nothing suspicious.

She went back to bed but this time she was scared. She ran on to her bed and hid under sheets and tried to fall asleep. After a while, there was a loud tap on her door. She startled and woke up again and shouted, Who is it?
There was no reply but the faint noises were back again. She was so terrified. She tried to sleep and fortunately she did. But the next morning she woke up thinking it was a terrible dream, she opened her door and saw something carved on her door with a knife.

"It's Me! The girl you didn't even try to save."

She gasped and couldn't process for a while. She thought it was a joke so she went to Mandi's room as they lived together and confronted her. She went in Mandi's room and dragged her out of her bed, landing her on the floor.

Mandi: What The Hell Hayley?! What's wrong with you? She got up from the floor and sat on her bed.

Hayley: What's wrong with me?
What's wrong with you?
Can't you let me sleep peacefully at night?!

Mandi: What did i do?

Hayley: Don't act like you don't know.

Mandi: Trust me, I am not.

Hayley: So you didn't write that shit on my door in the middle of the night?! She was furious.

Mandi shook her head in confusion and said : I don't know what are you talking about?

Hayley: You dont?! Ok then! She grabbed Mandi's hand and dragged her out of her room and showed her the carvings. She continued, See this!
Don't tell me you didn't write that!

Mandi: I didn't!

Hayley: Didn't you just hear me?! I said don't tell me you didn't write that!

Mandi: But i swear I didn't. I was on those pills given that i bought from Kyle. They help me sleep throughout the night. So i have no idea what you are talking about! Trust me!

Hayley : Then who wrote this?

While Hayley and Mandi were trying to figure that out, Alex, Adrien and Gertrude had a chat before they reached to the school.

Gertrude and Alex were walking towards Adrien's house.

Alex said :Hey Gert, Whats wrong?

Gert: Nothing, I am just... Nothing. Leave it.

Alex : Hey you can tell me. What is it?

Gert: I don't know. It's just that... I had a nightmare about.....Lucy last night.

Alex: What!?

Gert: Yeah umm.... I just saw that how i was screaming when i saw her that day. You all were stoked and Mandi nabbed me and shut me up. I tried to struggle but ended up with nothing but a bad memory in my head forever.
I don't know Alex. It's just scary!

Alex : Hey it's fine, sometimes I imagine that day too. But we didn't do anything. It was all Mandi. Hey aggressive nature and her head filled with Kyle's drugs just made her do something that even she doesn't regret. She should be afraid, not us!!
