Chp 6 - The Dead Man In The Woods 🎃

Jared woke up next morning. He was all set for the day. He got ready and called Emily to meet him at school.
Emily was asleep when he called her. She yawned loudly and stretched her hands in the air as she sat on the bed.After talking to Jared, she got up and reached school in 15 minutes.

They met at the gate and Jared started talking: Hey! I called the cops on Kyle and he will be caught soon. So nothing to worry. He said in a proud tone.

Emily: That's great babe!

They went in the library and sat there.
Emily yawned and her eyes were all sleepy and tired.

Jared: What's wrong? You didn't sleep well yesterday?

Emily: I was just..crying..because i was missing Lucy! I just couldn't understand that how was I so stupid? How did I not know that my best friend was going through so much pain..and.. I didn't...do...anything" she broke down into tears as she said her regret.

Jared: Oh honey! He held her in his arms and comforted her.
She felt peaceful in his arms.

Emily: I don't know what's wrong. I feel like i don't know anything. I sleep at night and I go all blank. Not even
a dream. I am just so tired.

Jared: Don't worry we will get through this together!Everything will be fine I promise!!

Emily still felt upset but with Jared by her side, she felt calm.

After the class got over, Emily and Jared met Adrien on their way. He seemed very tense and scared. Jared held his hand and asked.

Jared: Hey buddy, Why look so tense?
Adrien was hesitating and Jared had never seen him so scared.

Jared: What's the matter? Tell me.
Adrien looked at Emily as he was not comfortable saying in front of her but he couldn't hold it in.

Adrien: Kyle's dead!

Jared screamed,"What?!"

Emily's eyes were wide open and shook by the statement.

Adrien: He was murdered very brutally. It's like some animal attacked him but the damage was so hard and it didn't feel like an animal would it.
He was found with his eyes ripped, his hands and fingers were chopped into pieces and his left over body was found in the boiled chemical barrels.
It was a beast's work!

But the that isn't the only thing. They caught Alex's phone on their radar and he has been accused for Kyle's murder.

Jared and Emily were shook by the words they heard. They gasped at each sentence as it was so intense to digest.

Jared: Did...Alex..do something?

Adrien: No!! Why would he do that?!

Emily: Then why was his phone near Kyle's hut?

Adrien: Because it was with Gert. And she was the one who went to Kyle's to get his weird sleeping and depression pills. I dont know if she saw something or not but--

Suddenly a loud scream was heard and all the students ran towards the cafeteria where Gert was lying on the floor having seizures due to panic attacks. She was rushed to the hospital. She went in a temporal comma due to some trauma.
Emily and Jared visited her in the hospital 3 months later after she was out from the comma but was not allowed to speak with anyone as she was in a sensitive position. But the police had to take her statement as she was also a prime suspect. Her statement was just so intense.

She said she went there for some pills and had Alex's phone so she could call Kyle with it. It was 9pm and she went towards the woods. She reached the hut in few minutes and saw Kyle coming out from the hut. Before she could go close to him, someone from behind the hut came running towards Kyle and hit him with a hammer on his head. He screamed in pain and then was dragged inside the hut by the attacker. Gert went closer to see what was happening inside. She peeped through the window and saw a girl in a white gown which was covered in blood and had a mask over her face. She grabbed his hair and dipped in hot chemicals. He was screaming so loud and i controlled my screams so i wouldn't get caught. All she kept saying was " A specimen, i was just a specimen to you" .

Then she used a sharp tool to poke in his eyes and that was when i screamed on top of my lungs. That girl stood like a stoned for a second and slowly slowly turned behind and i saw her eyes. Her scary, huge, horrifying eyes met my eyes which were drowning in a pool of fear. Her eyes were red and big. She stared into my eyes until i got sick and threw up in the bushes behind me. After getting a hold of myself, i peeped back inside the hut and she was gone. I sighed in relief but also tried to safe. Suddenly i heard some slight breathing coming from behind. I was petrified. It was her!! She was behind me!! I wanted to run but my body froze as she whispered something in my ears. "Hey, Its Me! The Girl You Didn't Save!!" I screamed and ran to save myself and after i came out of the woods, I passed out!

I couldn't get the picture out of her head.

When the police asked her about the girl in the white gown, she said nothing but," I knew who she was, i just can't say or else i will die! She had two names but i don't remember them!

This was statement to the police.

Carrie: Oh my lord. I have chills!!

Taylor: so who was this girl? Was it Lucy? Was she the one who told Hayley the same line?

Nancy: That was in Hayley's head right?!

Annie: Where is Mandi?!!

Shhhhh.... Girls calm down let me answer you questions!
