"Ok", Ghost said, "now that we're away from the Cabal, we need to find a working ship so we can leave here as quickly as possible".
"Alright", Maria replied, then added, "I'm guessing you're flying?"
"Yes", Ghost said, "I usually piloted my Guardian's ship while she learned more about her fireteam".
Rebel froze, staring straight in one direction. Maria and Ghost looked in the same direction, and saw a ship, white and gold in color with purple accents, untouched by the Cabal.
"Looks like we found our ship", Maria said, and added "good boy Rebel", as she pet the War-Beast.
"That's Marie's ship!" Ghost said, excitement in his voice, "the Cabal haven't touched it!"
As Ghost had finished his sentence, Cabal could be heard running towards the group. The objective of the Cabal was clear: kill all who were considered enemies. Maria, Ghost, and Rebel fit that description.
"Get to the ship!" Maria yelled.
"And try not to get shot", Ghost added.
Maria and Rebel ran as fast as they could, while Ghost floated beside them. When they got inside the ship, none of them had been hit.
"Go! Hurry!" Maria yelled.
Ghost launched the ship and guided it quickly into Earth's orbit. He floated back to Maria to let her know that they were safe in orbit. Rebel had curled up on a couch that fit perfectly in the corner of the room they were in. Maria sat beside the War-Beast, then looked at Ghost and asked, "so...what now?"
"Now", Ghost began, "we look for anyone who will be willing and able to help take back the City".
"What about Xahn and Vahra?" Maria asked, "I'm sure that they would be more than happy to help".
"I think we should start with Guardians", Ghost said, "just to see if anyone still has their Light". Rebel, who had fallen asleep earlier, sat up at the mention of Light. Maria remembered the cage around the Traveler, and how it restricted a Ghost's Light. Maria thought of a question to ask.
"What happens to a Ghost that has lost their Guardian?"
"Normally", Ghost began, "they would look for another Guardian, if they weren't destroyed, of course, but now, without the Light, I'm not sure what we'll do".
Rebel jumped up off of the couch and started to growl at something in the back of the ship. Maria looked back and saw two Hive, a Wizard and a Knight.
"Oh my goodness", Maria whispered, "Xahn? Vahra?"
