When everyone finished training, and the doctors had treated any small injuries they had from it, the group chose to roam around in the forest that surrounded the arena for alone time or to spend with others seeing as they all knew they wouldn't get any of that with what was to come.
Jackie, Anti and Marvin decided to walk around together, Anti being dragged by Jackie, but he stayed nonetheless, each cracking small jokes and talking as they normally would, until Anti suddenly stopped in his tracks, looking around the green area they were in.
"You alright, dude?" Marvin asked, also stopping and looking towards the glitch, making Jackie do the same, watching as Anti's jaw clenched, his eyebrows furrowing in both concentration and confusion.
Anti kept looking around him for a few more moments, finally answering, "Yea, just thought I heard something. It's nothing though."
"Alright," Jackie replied, suddenly paranoid at what Anti had supposedly heard, the demon's hearing being the best out of the three, Jackie knowing they were going to have to be at least a little bit careful while they were out there.
"Did you guys hear that?" Marvin questioned five minutes after, spinning around and looking to see where the noise could be coming from, the other two shaking their heads.
Jackie glanced at Marvin, a confused look on his face as he took a deep breath, "No, what did you hear?"
"It sounded like. . . Like some sort of static sound," Marvin answered, his voice sounding quiet as he tried to listen to it a bit more, the magician's eyes glowing a vibrant purple before they went back to their normal ocean blue.
Jackie looked over to Anti suspiciously, knowing he could do that stuff which made the demon roll his eyes, "It's not me you're hearing," He stated, voice full of honesty, putting his hands in his jean pockets.
The three were about to turn around and head back where they came from until Jackie suddenly heard an ear-piercing static sound coming from the left of them, wincing in response as he stumbled, the other two now staring at him, "Okay, I definitely heard that."
Marvin started walking to the left, Anti asking him what he was doing, the magician simply stating, "I'm going to see what the hell that noise is. You can come if you want to."
The other two started following the magician, but all they saw were trees and bushes, nothing that could make a noise like the one they heard. They even looked through the bushes they passed, but still couldn't find anything suspicious.
"What the fuck. . .," Anti muttered under his breath, confused as to what was making the strange buzzing sound, glaring at everything around him.
"We should head back. I'll have to open a portal for everyone to go home," Marvin declared, spinning on his heels and stalking along the way they came, the hero and demon begrudgingly following, the static noise dulling out the closer they got to where they needed to be.

On the other side of the forest, Roman and Virgil heard the same static noise, but it was in a different location as the one the Septic Egos heard.
"Do you hear that?" Virgil asked the fanciful side, both of his hands in his jacket pockets with a nervous look on his face, a dark purple colour flashing through his pupils for a split second.
"Yea. .. ," Roman replied, curious as to what the strange sound was as he withdrew his sword, not knowing if he and Virgil would be in any danger or not, the man staying in front of his friend in case anything jumped out at them.
The two of them followed the noise for what seemed to be ten minutes, the Sides ending up outside of an abandoned cabin, Virgil being pulled into it by Roman much to his dismay, the latter placing his sword back into its case that hung by his waist.
