Laura’s POV

The gunshot rings through the room, making me freeze along with the guards who were in the middle of punch my guts out. Panic overrides my pain as I fear the worst. My already wet eyes well up with tears again. All the hope I had of her being alive in the last two days of being here vanishing. The guards take off into a run out the door. I start to follow until I hear more gunshot rings and yelling. I deep breath and sigh when I rely on it’s the FBI. Thank god there here.

I lay back against the cold brick wall of the small room I’m in and slide down to the floor. My body feels like its on fire from the pain. I know I have at least a few broken bones from the torcher over the last 24’hours. My heart clenches painfully as I wait. Wait for them to find me. Wait for them to tell me she’s alive. To say everything is going to okay.

                              Lyra’s POV

I waited to feel the pain. Or for everything to go black as I stand there on my knees with my eyes closed and the gun pressed to my forehead. The sound of the shot bounces off the walls of the room, and it takes me a moment to figure out I’m not dead. My father's grunts and curses follow this thought as I open my eyes. My father's body lays on the ground in moans, blood pools between his shoulder and neck. I laugh like a crazy person and go to stand up as I feel arms wrap around my shoulders.

“Are you okay?” heath asks.” I nod my head.” How much time do we have before the FBI gets here?” I question.”Only a few minutes,” he replys, releasing me. I pull the gun from his hands and take a deep breath.” Leave the room,” I say. He looks at me with confusion then tries to argue with me.”Go find laura now!” I demand and hope he listens.

He surprises me by leave but not before kissing me on the head with a whisper.”I understand,” he says, then leaves the room quietly. I walk up to my father and peer into my eyes. He curses me. He is calling me every name in the book. Tells me he will kill me just as he did my mother. I wait to see anything good in the eyes. I expect to see any regret, but I see none. I lift the gun, only hesitating for a split second, then pull the trigger right between his eyes.

I don’t have time to regret my decision because series pull right outside, and I take off to find heath and laura. Guards come running in my direction, and I quickly pull my self in a side room. Peering out the door, I see them go into the room. I just went out of followed by gunshots and shouting. I run back out of the room and search for every door.”Laura!” I yell out, getting frustrated.
