I sat outside, on the side of the school still drenched from the sprinklers in the gym. I put my jacket on, although it was soaked too, so it didn’t really help keep me warm. It was well into the middle of October and it was starting to get pretty cold outside. I rubbed my hands together and opened them watching the small fireball in my palms dance. I shook my hands letting it go out and tucked my hands into my jacket and my shirt to keep me warm. I just couldn’t go inside right now, I couldn’t face people.

I threw myself at my teacher like a damn harlot, and I thought for sure this time...that he wanted me too and I felt humiliated now that I knew he didn’t. How was I going to sit in class with him, knowing what just happened in that gym and knowing that, that spark of passion I felt between us would never happen again? My chest ached, and my head throbbed from trying to hold back tears. I was so angry. So hurt. My stomach twisted in knots and I thought I was going to be sick.

“Sera?”
I looked up at Belle who looked incredibly confused as to why I was sitting outside, drenched when it wasn’t even raining.
“Sera what are you doing out here? Its freezing. How did you get so wet?” She asked as she crouched down to me.
I let out a strangled sob that I had been holding onto.
“Oh..sweetheart.” Belle frowned and pulled me in just holding me while I cried.

“What happened?” She asked after I calmed down just a little.
“I don’t want to talk about it...” I muttered and sniffled.
“Are you sure?”
I nodded. If I could have just unloaded everything that I was feeling at that moment I would have but this wasn’t one of those situations where that was possible.
“Alright.. Come on let's get you inside before you catch death out here.”  she said as she helped me up.

The next week went about as I’d expected, horribly. I had skipped Killian’s class all together, that whole week, So he’d used the school email to send me any assignments, which I couldn’t even attempt to work on. I Just didn’t want anything to do with him right now and I was sure that if anyone could know why, they wouldn’t blame me in the slightest.

My other classes weren’t too bad. They took my mind off of things and everyone seemed to be all in a buzz about a Halloween Costume ball next weekend and everyone was making costumes. I wasn’t planning on going. I didn’t go to school dances in regular school and I wasn’t about to go to one in magic school either all though, I was willing to bet, it would be more of an enchanting evening, than the homecoming dance from my regular school would promise every year.
