Sitting down in silence and waiting for a signal was always the worst part of a mission. It always gave me enough silence to hear the roaring voices inside my head a chance to make me a nervous wreck.

The plan was simple, but it felt like it was too simple. It was probably just the fact that there were lives at stake and that my brian liked to overthink and overanalyze everything. Even if it was a simple plan, one small mess-up and everything will come crashing down.

I hate it when my leg bounces up and down as my anxiety levels skyrocket.

There was patience needed and I didn't have a lot of that.

There was a lot of tension in the air and I was also not good in situations like these, but if it meant I could have my Yeosang back I'd go through this a million times more.

Each second passed just as slow as when you're heating up food in the microwave. That's saying a lot already.

Breaking everyone's train of thought, our earpieces beeped and Jeongin's voice entered our ears.

"Team 1 has succeeded in making a distraction. You are clear to make an entrance. Over."

Just when Jeongin's voice came to an end Seungmin spoke.

"Remember you only have one chance at this. Don't mess it up and make it good", a beep was heard signaling he ended the message.

"I swear this kid. He doesn't even end the messages correctly", Bangchan complained as he stood up and secured the weapons on his body.

Being glad that the tension dissipated somewhat after Seungmin's and Bangchan's comments, I gave out an airy chuckle.

With one last heavy sigh, I followed the rest of the guys out of the van.

The only source of light was the bright moon shining in the dark sky as we quietly crept in the shadows around the menacing building. 

The fact that there wasn't much security gave me a terrible gut feeling, but I chose to ignore it for my sanity. 

Bangchan stopped and with a nod of his head, he motioned Mingi to break one of the warehouse's locks.

Just as Mingi finished his job successfully, which was done by simply taking his gun and hitting the lock, Bangchan motioned for the rest of us to follow him.

The atmosphere inside the warehouse was hair-raising. The air was humid and the smell of iron was evident. We could see the dust moving around in the air as the moonlight shone through the cracks that were scattered across the ceiling and through some windows. 

A distant sound of a gun loading halted our moves, and in unison, we all focused our attention to the rear end of the dim building.  

The gruesome sight made my stomach turn inside out, a man tied to a chair, a second man holding up the head of the first man by having a tight grip on his hair, and a third man holding a gun pointing it to the man sitting on the chair. But what really made my throat constrict and my face go as pale as the moonlight shining on the bloody silhouettes of the people, was the fact that they were my father, Jimin, and -more importantly- Yeosang.

As we all collectively shared glances and quietly made our way to the trio through the shadows, confusion started flowing in our bloodstreams.

What in the hell was happening?

second, i know the ending of this chapter is a bit confusing, and it doesn't give you much a cliffhanger, but jUst wAiT until the next chapter ;)))

third, oh mA GOSH I HAVENT SEEN YALL IN THREE MONTHSSSS 

fourth, i know i always apologize for not updating regularly, but stilllll,,, I'm sorry :\ also sorry its a lil short 😅

fifth, you wiLL not bELiEve how many times i got writer's block while completing this chapter, and it isn't even that long like????
