YEOSANG'S POV

I stared up at the silver-haired man, anger, and confusion swaying in my head.

He sighed, knowing what was going on in my thoughts. 

"I'm sorry. It was the only way I could help you. I'm sorry I said those horrible things, I'm sorry I hurt you. But, it was for a greater cause. Selena's father was present all those times, I had to convince him. Convince him that I and my crew were on his side."

"Why? Why are you doing this? You have no business with me."

"That's true. I don't. I have more experience than you, I know things you don't, but you also know things I don't. But regardless. I owe a favor to Selena.", he continued viewing my eyebrows raise, "You know very well her father is a ruthless tyrant. Once upon a time, I wasn't as experienced. Unlike you, I wasn't born into this. I was desperate, desperate to survive. And seemingly, joining this world was the only way to do so. Her father took me in, I was kept in the shadows, along with the rest of my teammates. Trained and beat away from the eyes of Selena. Although she never knew what her father did, she did know he was physically abusive to his employes. On a bad day, I got myself into some problems. He beat me half to death, I would've died if it wasn't for Selena. She intervened. A complete miracle if you ask me... At the time, her father wasn't completely mad, he still had some humanity left inside him. He let me go. That day, I swore I would protect her when the time was right. She saved someone whom she didn't have any business with, she didn't even know my name, she was younger, she didn't know anything about this world. After the incident, I kept working for him, but I rebelled in the shadows, not letting him know I was no longer loyal to him. For years I have planned to take him down. But I knew I couldn't alone, I knew your history with him. Vastly worse than mine, its the reason I became allies with ATEEZ. I had to lie to both sides in order to help you. So now that you know my intention, I hope you can forgive me. I know you might not trust me just yet, but I don't need your trust. I need your cooperation. Because tonight is the day that both of our purposes are fulfilled."

Yay! Another chapter! 

If you're a little confused, let me explain a bit. This is a bit of a backstory, this chapter happens sometime before chapter 22.

Everything will play out as the story progresses even further, so dont worry ;)
