Dream Chapter 34

I kiss a small child on the forehead. She clings to me tightly. I feel.... bigger. Not just in height, but is weight. My back hurts badly. A weight on my stomach is causing the pain. Something laying next to me shifts under the blankets.

" Mama, I-I scared. " The girl whimpers.

Mama? Who's her mom? Was she talking to me? I don't have kids. I'm only 14. This girl looks like she's 3 or 4. Not very old. I try to say something but nothing comes out. I'm soothing the child without realizing it. I can't control what I'm doing or saying.

" What's going on? A groggy, deep, male voice asks. " Aura? " How does he know my name? Who is he? It's too dark to see his or the child's face.

" Ali had a nightmare. " I reply sleepily.

Who's Ali? What's going on? Why don't I have control over myself?

" Oh Alison. It's okay. " The man says softly. His voice is sweet and caring, like a fathers. The girl hugs both me and the man. " Mommy and daddy've got you. " He rubs her back.

So he's her father? What did he mean by ' mommy '? I can't be the kids mom. I don't even know this man! What happened? Why can't I say or do what I want to do? I have no control over what I do. 

" Momma? Daddy? What's going on? " Another small voice asks from the doorway. 

" Nothing bud. Sissy's just a little scared. " The man replies. 

" It's too dark and scary in my room. Can I sleep in here with you guys? " The boy asks. 

" Sure Luke. Come on in. " I move over, which is a little bit of a challenge. Both of the kids lay in between me and the man.

 " Momma? " Luke says into my side. 

" Yes Lukie? " 

" Can I talk to Trevor? " Who's Trevor? Where is he? What the heck is causing all this pain to my back? I feel like an elephant. 

" Sure. " I smile. 

" Me too!! " Alison says happily. 

I push the blanket off of me a bit and pull up a small part of my oversized shirt. It's probably the guys. Then I notice it. My belly. It's huge. There's a big bump on my stomach and that's what's causing all the pain. 

The man turns on the light but I don't look at him. Luke smiles and puts his hand on my stomach. A small leg kicks my stomach and causes me to gasp. My heart races in happiness and excitement. Luke puts his ear to my stomach and smiles. " Hi Trevie! It's me. You're big brother. " Luke says sweetly. " I love you baby brother. " He kisses my stomach and I smile. 

Alison takes her brother's spot and puts her ear to my stomach. " Hi Trevie!! " She squeals happily as the baby kicks her a bit. " I can't wait till, till you comes out of mama. She's excited. Daddy too! I loves you so much. Muah! " She noisily kisses my stomach and smiles happily. 

I feel another kick and I grab the man's hand without looking up at him. I place it on my stomach and the man chuckles. " He's gonna be a great soccer player. " 

" Yeah. " I laugh. The man kisses my forehead and I look up. 

It's Chase. 

Not teenage Chase, adult Chase. He looks older. 

No wonder those kids looked so similar. They reminded me of Chase.
