I smile at my dad as I walk into the kitchen. Last night, the night of my first date, was cool. And fun! I really liked going on the date. It was different, but not too different. There was no pressure for anything from Wilson, and we got along really well. " Hey daddy. " I kiss his cheek and grab an apple off the counter.
" Did you have a fun time last night? " Natasha asks.
I nod. " Yeah. It was kinda fun. "
" So...are you going out with him again? " Clayton asks as he walks in with Chase.
I sigh and lean against the counter. " I don't know. Maybe. "
" Do you like him? " Chase asks, looking a little upset.
" He's nice. Cute. Funny....he's pretty cool. And he likes math. " I smile.
" I like math. " Chase mutters. I think. I don't know. I could be just imagining things. " I'm nice, funny, cute. " Clayton elbows him lightly.
" But...? " Tony asks.
" But what? " I ask, while raising an eyebrow.
" There's a but after that. With that tone, you know there's a but. " Dad turns towards me.
I sigh. " But....he's not really....he's not...we don't like each other like that. We're more like friends then boyfriend and girlfriend. We don't really...I don't know. We just both agreed nothing more than friends would happen. "
Tony scoffs. " Yeah. ' Just Friends '. You know, at your age in life, there is no such thing as ' just friends ' between boys and girls. There's always something more. A kiss that goes on sometime in the relationship or....other...things. There's always more that happens. "
I shake my head. " There's nothing gonna happen between me and Wilson. We're just going to be friends. " I laugh a little and shake my head. " You guys are crazy. There are plenty of girls and guys who are just friends. "
" Name two. " Natasha asks in disbelief.
" Fine. " I say, taking on the challenge. " Um....Ahh. Lucy Camden and Robbie Palmer in 7th Heaven. Ha. That's one. "
" Did you not finish the season? They end up making out like....a lot, and they end up dating. But not really dating at the same time. " Mia says, taking a big drink of her smoothie.
" Oh. Really? " My eyebrows furrow. " I didn't know that. "
" Yeah. Well, take my opinion on this. Girl's can't just be friends with guys. It's either, you're somehow romantically involved each other or....things just get complicated. " Mia nods.
I sigh. " Well, I'm going to prove you wrong. Wilson and I can just be friends. "
