Chapter 8 - Bad Reaction

"What did you just say?"

Josh couldn't believe what Maya had told them a few minutes ago.
Pregnant?
No it's impossible.

"You heard me the first time," Maya said trying to sound confident.
"I think I heard wrong," Josh said.
"No you didn't. How on earth could you be so..." Alan said but Josh didn't let him finish.
"Please tell me this is a nightmare waiting to be over," Josh said and Maya sigh.
"No I'm sorry. It isn't. My mother already knows about it and I told your niece that I am visiting my aunt," Maya said.
"When did you..."
"Just a few days ago. I am about seven weeks and four days. Turn one week every Tuesday."
"Okay wow. Um... I... I need a minute," Josh said and was off.

"Josh!" Amy yelled.
"Leave him Mrs Matthews. He needs time," Maya said.
"Okay why don't we get you settled into your room for the weekend then? This way," Amy said.

It was just a few hours later and Josh went back inside the house.
He had definitely calmed down a lot and was sure he is now okay.
But the real question is, is Maya?

"You're not gonna leave her," Alan said as soon as Josh came inside.
"We weren't ever together but my name definitely isn't Kermit Hart. I guarantee you that. Wow," Josh said realizing what is happening.
"I'm gonna be a father."
"You are," Alan said.

Suddenly it came to Josh what is going on besides that.
Her age.

"Oh my gosh. She is fourteen years old. What did I do?" Josh asked as he pulled his hand through his hair.
"Ask yourself that. Not me," Alan said and Amy came out.

"You done?" Amy asked.
"Where is she?" Josh asked.
"Your sister's room," Amy said and Josh was off.
"Josh..."
"I need to go to her. Done," Josh said.
