My Blue Eyed Saviour

The sound of sirens echoed throught the city of New York. It was Saturday night and the city was bustling despite the late hour. All the people simply going about their lives unaware that they were being watched.

It started out like any other night. Sadie had been to a party and seeing as she only lived a few blocks away she decided to walk home. Most people would have been nervous but Sadie wasn't. After all she grew up in the city. She was fast and fierce. She wasn't scared.

About three-quarters of the way home Sadie thought she could hear grunting. She froze, cocking one ear. There it was again!

''You owe us old man.'' A low voice growled

''Yeah those freaks aren't here to save you now are they?'' Another voice chuckled darkly.

''Please...I..I have done nothing.''

''That's the point. We want our money Gramps..''

Sadie had heard enough to recognise the voices. The Purple Dragons were roughing up Muraekami again. ''Oh yeah? Well I'm sorry but your withdrawals been canceled.'' Sadie muttered heading towards the noodle shop.

Leo sat on the edge of a skyscraper looking down on the city. He could never get used to how beautiful the city looked at night. He never told the others about his late night trips. Not even Sensi. No Leo wanted this to be private. Just him and the city. His city. Leo streched and stood up. As he stood up his stomach gave a loud rumble. ''Huh. It has been a while since dinner.'' Leo chuckled ''Guess that means time to head back.'' Leo started to jump from roof to roof but paused as he was passing Murakamies. He knew it was late but he started drooling thinking about Murakami's pizza gyoza. Murakami wouldn't tell on him and the guys would never know. ''Guess it couldn't hurt.'' Leo grinned making his way to the restaraunt.

Sadie dodged the cleaver that narrowly missed her ear and quickly swung around with a fist. It connected with Fong's face and he was thrown into the counter. ''You'll pay for that kid!'' He growled.

''Oh yeah? How bout a bit more fighting and a little less talking?'' Sadie swung at him again but he dodged and she hit the wall. Fong quickly hit her over the back of the head and Sadie fell to the ground. ''Not so tough now huh?'' Fong grabbed Sadie's collar and lifted her up slamming her against a wall. Sadie closed her eyes. This was it.

''Picking on innocent teenage girls now Fong?''

Sadie's eyes flew open. The owner of the voice was a.......a GIANT TURTLE??

Fong growled,grabbing Sadie and positioning his cleaver in front of her neck.

''One step greenie and she dies!''

''Yeah fat chance.'' Sadie quickly backflipped and Fong got a faceful of sneaker. As he reeled the turtle quickly grabbed him and threw him against the wall ''I spared you once. Don't make me regret it.''

Fong nodded quickly and the Purple Dragons took off.

''T-thanks.'' panted Sadie.

He was surprised ''You're not scared of me?''

''Why would I be? You did just save me.''

''Huh...well you know most humans don't think that way.''

A quiet groan alerted the both to Merakamie in the corner. Sadie ran over ''Are you alright?''

''Yes.....yes I'm fine. Thank you both for saving me.''

''No problem.'' Sadie and the turtle said at the same time.

Sadie blushed. ''So uh.......what's your name?''

''Leonardo Hamato at your service. But please call me Leo.''

''Sadie.'' Sadie smiled holding out a hand. Leo smiled back and shook her hand ''Nice to meet you.''

''Ahem.''

Sadie and Leo jumped and looked at Mr Merukami ''Would you two like something to eat?''

''Yes please Merukami-San'' Leo bowed walking over to the counter.

''Pizza gyoza I presume?'' Merukami chuckled.

''You know me so well.''

''What's pizza gyzoa?'' Sadie asked. Leo gaped at her ''Y-you've never had pizza gyoza?!''

''Um.....no'' Sadie shugged.

''Well that's gotta change.'' Leo picked up one of the little pastries that Merukami had placed in front of him with some chopsticks and held it up expectenly. Sadie giggled and popped the food in her mouth. As she chewed her eyes went wide ''Oh my God!''

Leo nodded eating one himself ''I know right?'' He swallowed ''So...what's a girl like you doing out so late?''

''I was at a party and I decided to walk home. I heard fighting and decided to help. You?''

''I sometimes come out during the night. Just to....to be by myself you know?''

Sadie nodded. She could understand that.

''So......you need any help getting home?'' Leo was blushing now.

Sadie laughed ''Sure''

''Well this is my stop.'' Sadie carefully opened her window so she didn't alert her parents ''Thanks for the ride Leo.''

He grinned ''Anytime.''

Sadie climbed into her room and turned to face the blue clad turtle ''So.....will I see you again?'' She blushed again at how cheesy that sounded.

''Well.....oh I know what to do!'' Leo handed Sadie a phone that was shaped like a turtle shell ''Put your number in. That way if you need help again you can call! N-not that I think you need help! I'm guessing you can handle yourself...I-I mean I'm sure! Whew.....is it...is it getting hot in here??'' ''Real smooth Fearless!'' Leo cursed himself. Sadie laughed and handed him back his phone having entered her number in ''Thanks.''

Leo nodded and smiled though his cheeks still had a reddish hue ''See you around.'' With that he jumped up to the roof above. Sadie smiled and started to get ready for bed. As she lay on her mattress her thoughts started to wander back to the turtle with the sea blue eyes and matching bandanna. ''Leonardo.'' Sadie thought falling asleep with a contented smile on her lips.
