My Blue Eyed Saviour

I groaned putting a hand on my head. I'd been feeling super queasy all day and I saw Rebecca wasn't looking much better. I must've caught something on our last surface trip.

"You OK babe?"

I smiled as Leo sat next to me putting his arm around me. I snuggled into his chest and he rested his chin on my head.

"Yeah...just a little queasy. It's probably just a cold."

"Maybe Donnie should-"

"I don't want to make a fuss. I'll be fine I....I just need some rest"

With that I closed my eyes and fell asleep with Leo's arms around me.

Leo's P.O.V.

I smiled as I heard Sadie's gentle snores. I gently moved myself so I didn't wake her and left her asleep on the couch. I headed towards the lab but not before covering Sadie with my blanket from my room. Knocking on the door of the lab I was greeted with both a tense voice and a sneeze.

"Uh Don? You in there?"

"Sorry Leo I'm kinda busy."

"With what?"

" *Achoo!!*"

"Uh.....was that you?"

" *sigh* just come in"

With a confused look I walked inside and I instantly saw what was keeping Donnie busy. Rebecca was lying on a makeshift bed in the lab with a tissue clutched in her hand and a nose that could rival Rudolph's. Raph was crouched next to her with one hand on her shoulder and the other holding a box of tissues. Donnie was typing on his computer looking at what looked like blood test results.

"Oh...."

Donnie turned and shrugged.

"Yeah. I'm guessing you're here because Sadie is showing the same symptoms?"

I nodded. Rebecca looked at me and smiled weakly.

"What's up Leo?"

I went up and crouched next to her ignoring Raph's growling and smiled back.

"Hey Becks. How you feeling?"

"How do you think she's feeling Fearless?!" Raph snapped.

"Raph....."

" *sigh* I just thought it was obvious....I-I'm a little on edge you know?"

"I understand. You care about her"

"Yeah. You care about Sadie right?"

I nodded. "Of course. I'm sorry."

Rebecca chuckled and we both looked at her in confusion.

"Sorry it's just I'm not used to you guys being all nicey-nicey. It's sweet"

We blushed but before we could retaliate Donnie's computer beeped. He looked at it with wide eyes before muttering and typing something in.

"That can't be right...stupid piece of.....ugh..."

"Don...what's wrong?"

"The girls are OK right? It's just a cold or-"

"It's not just a cold."

We all looked at Donnie in worry and shock. He was sitting with his head in his hands. He looked almost.......defeated. He sighed and looked at us with eyes filled with pain.

"Y-you remember that fight we got into a few days ago?"

We nodded. We'd been on a regular patrol when it happened.......

--------------------Flashback--------------------

"Come on guys! I thought it was tortoises that were slow!"

I laughed as two "HEYS!!" came from Donnie and Mikey. I hopped up next to a smirking Sadie from behind.

"How's that for slow?"

Sadie jumped about a mile in the air before turning to me and glaring. I put my hands up in defence.

"What?"

Sadie opened her mouth but just then...

"Uh guys?! We got company!!"

Suddenly a dozen foot solidiers surrounded us. Instantly we insheathed our weapons and attacked.

"You doing OK Sades?!" I called but in reply a shruiken hit a footbot that I hadn't noticed sneaking behind me.  I turned to Sadie who was smirking.

"I'll uh.....take that as a yes."

Sadie smiled and I caught the blade of a foot soldier rising behind her.

"Sadie watch out!!" I screamed. Sadie turned and gasped. I ran towards her but Rebecca was faster. She leaped onto the back of the footbot and stabbed her sword into it's head. I was relieved but then I saw Sadie on the ground. I ran and cradled her in my arms.

"Sades? Sadie?! Are you hurt? What hurts? Do you know where you are?!"

"Leo I'm fine! It's just a nick" Sadie reasurred me showing me a medium sized cut on her arm. Looking over I saw Raph had his arm around Becky who was nursing a pretty big cut on her leg. There didn't seem to be any more so I said we were heading home so Donnie could patch up the girls.

"I don't get it. You cleaned them up right?"

Donnie nodded and turned to his computer.

"These blood test results from Rebecca aren't showing any infection sign. They're showing toxin signs"

Raph and I stared blankly at him. He sighed.

"I mean those footbots must've coated their weapons with some sort of poison. With the cuts they got it introduced it right into their bloodstream and...well you can see what's happening now."

I was terrified. Sadie....how could I have been so blind?

"What do we do?"

"Well who do we know that create something like this?"

"Baxter Stockmen!"

Donnie nodded.

"Looks like we're going for a science trip"
