I quickly pulled the hood of my hoodie up. No point scaring my parents before I could explain the situation. I quickly walked into my apartment. It looked.......well the same as it always did. My dad was sitting on the sofa. I winced at his you-are-in-serious-trouble face.

''Hey Dad..''

''Sadie Hayes where on EARTH have you been?! Do you have any idea how worried we were?'' He half yelled.

My mom walked in ''Sweetheart calm down. I'm sure that Sadie has an explanation to where she was. Don't you honey?''

I rubbed the back of my neck. This was the moment I'd been dreading ''Yeah............''

My mom raised a brow ''Well? Let's hear it.''

I took a deep breath ''I was walking back to the apartment with April when this white van pulled up next to us and these guys jumped out. Only they weren't guys they were these freaky alien brain things! I know it sounds crazy but it's the truth! Anyway they grabbed me and took me to this......I don't know some sort of facility...and they......they.....''

I couldn't say it. My parents were looking at me worriedly. I reached up to lower my hood ''Maybe it's best if I show you.'' I closed my eyes and lowered the hood.

I heard the gasp of my parents as they saw my cat ears and long tail. Then I heard the strangest sound.They were laughing.

''Hah.....you really had us going there Sades!!'' My dad chortled.

''Where on earth did you get that costume?!!'' My mom giggled.

I face palmed ''Guys.......it's not a costume.'' They stopped laughing but they were still chuckling.

''Sweetie nice try but this doesn't excuse you even though it is a good story.'' My dad warned.

''Would this?''

Our heads snapped up. Leo was standing in the window and I could see Mikey looking over his shoulder to wave at me. My mother shrieked and my father grabbed the nearest object (which was a candlestick) and started yelling ''Who-what are you?! I warn you I can be extremely violent when cornered !!!''

''Dad it's OK!! He's my friend. I thought I told you guys to wait for your cue!!''

Mikey frowned in confusion ''You mean that wasn't it?''

Leo hopped in and bowed ''Madam...Sir. My name is Leonardo Hamato. I'm a friend of your daughter.''

My dad was still clutching the candlestick in his hand, I sighed. This was going to take a while.......
