After my little surprise to the guys we were all standing around talking and catching up on what's been new in our lives and wow did I miss these guys more than I thought I did. I also realized that I hadn't seen the guys in two whole years because usually when I'm home they're all at home celebrating the holidays or it's summer and it's off season. Also wow I missed a lot. I was standing and talking with Yanni, Steven, Tyler, and Victor.
"Layla, Layla, Layla, how'd you go from straight A student who would fall apart if she got a C, to party girl who could put away a handle of jack without flinching?" Heddy asked curiously.
I bit my lip, and shrugged, "I guess when you spend two straight years drinking with frat guys that's where you end up."
"You could drink them under the table couldn't you?" Yanni asked.
"Oh you know it," I winked.
"That's a girl," Tyler said and we high fived.
"But what about you guys? How are y'all? What's been new?" I asked.
"Gourdo's got a little girl now with Marie." Steven said.
"Wow way to steal my thunder stammer!" Yanni cut it, and shot a glare in Stevens direction.
"Wait, wait, wait, be kind, rewind," I cut them off and looked straight at Gordy. "You had a whole ass baby and didn't send me pictures?"
He chuckled nervously and scratched the back of his head.
"Gordyyyy," I dragged out and gave him a push. "I know, I know," he responded and pulled out his phone and opened it up to the photos app and went to an album labeled "My little girl."
"Aww you have an album dedicated to her? That's darling!"
"She's a daddy's girl, I already know it," he smiled as we went through the album together.
There were so many pictures of her in the cutest outfits but my favorite by far was her in a sea foam green dress with white shoes and a white bow headband on her head.
"She has your eyes and Marie's smile! I gushed. "Is she crawling yet?"
Yanni nodded fiercely and smiled wide, "she's been crawling all around the house so much that her knees always have little bruises on them."
"A go getter just like her daddy!" I remarked, "I'll have to come see her sometime!"
"Well duh, also me and Marie want to take you out to dinner and get caught up on the last two years." He told me as he put his phone away.
"Wouldn't miss it for the world Gordy, I love you two!" After saying that, a huge smile spread across his face and he pulled me into a hug.
"I missed you so much little sis,"
"I missed you too big bro," I squeaked under his tight grip.
"So party girl, are you gonna show us some of your party tricks?" Stammer asked.
"Yeah but when? Y'all got a game tonight no?" I asked, "we do," Tyler said, "but tomorrow we're going to party like project x."
"I can dig that!" I cheered.
"Then it's happening! Party tomorrow at my place, tell everyone!" Johnny declared and we all cheered in response.
We all stood around talking and catching up more for about an hour until my dad cut in.
"I hate to break this little family reunion up but Layla, the boys have opening night tonight and I need them all to bring their A game so they need to all go home. And you have to unpack your car."
