We ended up winning the game against the Carolina Hurricanes and tonight was also my official first date with Anthony but I wasn't telling anyone about it quite yet because I wasn't sure how it was going to go. The only person who knew about it was Tyler from when he saw us together in the rink after practice. He finally pulled it out of me when he Face Timed me a little bit ago to invite me over to have wine, Chinese food, and binge watch tv shows the day after Anthony and I's date. We had a little thing where we would always watch the same TV shows. Whether it be together or over the phone like Dan and Blair did in Gossip Girl. It started the summer before I went off to college and when the time came for me to leave neither of us wanted to stop. Right now we are currently watching the show Euphoria and planned to start watching Watchmen when it premieres. But first we had to find time to watch the movie so we could fully understand the show.

But back to Anthony and I's date tonight.

He was picking me up at 5:30 tonight and wouldn't give any hints to what we were doing or where he was taking me. The only thing I could pull out of him was to wear a bathing suit under my clothes. So maybe we were going to the beach which sounded like a lot of fun, the beach was my favorite place in the whole wide world it was a staple of our little family growing up before we moved to the northeast and then to Florida.

It was around 5:15 and I was rushing around my room trying to find a cute outfit to wear under my burnt orange bikini. I couldn't decide if I wanted to maybe wear a cropped beachy blouse or one of my cut off t-shirts. Currently laying on the bed was a black cropped Thrasher shirt with medium wash jean shorts that had rips at the bottom of them paired with a black belt and checkered vans. I also had a semi sheer red ripcurl floral blouse on the bed that would be paired with the same shorts and belt but I would just wear a pair of black old skool vans.

Time was ticking down and I hadn't even done my makeup yet so I decided to get creative with choosing. I spun around three times with my eye closed and my arm pointed out, I ended up landing on the Thrasher shirt and decided that that would be the outfit. I threw it on and walked over to my floor length mirror where my makeup bag was and sat down in front of the mirror. I checked the time on my phone and it said 5:20.

I quickly did my makeup and then packed up my makeup bag and pushed it to the side.

Slipping on my shoes, I grabbed all the essentials like my phone and my purse and walked out of my room, closing the door behind me.

I descended the stairs and saw dad in the kitchen sitting on a barstool intensely focused on his laptop watching highlight reels of previous games. When he heard my loud footsteps he looked up at me all dressed up and raised an eyebrow.

"Layla, where are you going all dressed up?"

"Yanni and Marie want to take me out to dinner and catch up," I lied, deciding not to tell him that I was going out with the team playboy.

"Sounds like a fun time, where are they taking you?" He asked

I hesitated a bit and tried to think of a random restaurant.

"This place called Outriggers, it's on the water in St. Pete," I replied.

"Oh, okay, are they picking you up or are you driving?" He asked.

"They're picking me up at 5:30," I said simply.

He nodded and returned to his laptop, "well that sounds like you will have a good time, they love you a lot. What time do you expect to be home?"

"8 or 9 o'clock maybe, it depends how long we spend talking, they want to hear everything that's been going on in my life these past 2 years." I responded and looked down at my phone and saw that Anthony had texted me he was out in front of the house.
