Anthony and I stayed in the wave pool surfing for what felt like about another hour. After our little wave ride together I could tell he was getting the hang of it and standing up more often but there were still waves where he would wipeout on. I took a few wipe outs myself and Anthony would laugh and tease me because I was supposed to be the better surfer than him.

I paddled out to the line up after riding a wave and I was getting tired and by the looks of his heavy breathing he was too.

"Tired?" I asked as I sat up on my board.

"Tired and hungry," he replied sitting on his board.

"Then lets paddle in and catch one more wave," I suggested.

He nodded in agreement, "ladies first,"

"Fair enough Cirelli," I replied and laid down on my board and paddled towards the shore to catch a wave.

I caught one and was cruising, did a few snaps off the lip and added a 360 turn in the air to finish it off and then rode the rest of the wave into the shore. I hopped off my board and picked it up and watched as Anthony paddled and caught a wave, I taught him a few tricks he could do with a longboard and he did a few, he bounced the board on the wave and did some baby snaps off the lip and then cruised the rest of the way into the shore.

He hopped off his board and joined me by my side with his board tucked under his arm.

We walked up the fake beach towards our discarded clothing and set the boards down.

"Sooooo, what's for dinner?" I asked.

"Hmmmm how do you feel about ordering a pizza?" He suggested.

"Can we get one delivered here?" I asked.

"I think we can," he smiled and picked up his phone and began to dial the number for the pizza place.

I picked up my phone to check the time and saw it was almost midnight and that my dad had called me almost 40 times and texted me I opened the phone and dialed his number and he picked up on the first ring.

"Layla where the hell are you it's almost midnight and you said you'd be home by 8 or 9?!" He practically yelled.

"Fuck dad, I'm so sorry, I- we- Marie and Yanni took me out for drinks after dinner and we lost track of time I'm so sorry," I panicked and looked over at Anthony who had taken the phone away from his ear and was now looking at me with a puzzled look on his face.

"Layla, it's just me and you and you know how much I stress you texting me where you are," He replied in a calmer tone, "I worry about you when you go out, you're my little girl."

I nodded my head like he could see it knowing he couldn't, "I know dad, I'll be home soon okay?" I replied.

He sighed through the phone, "ok, I'll see you soon,"

"Bye dad,"

"Bye sweetheart,"

"What's going on?" Anthony asked in a concerned tone.

"My dad, he's upset I didn't update him on my location, he thinks I'm out with Marie and Gourdo," I sighed and ran a hand through my wet hair.

"Wait so you lied to your dad about where you were going?" Anthony questioned.

I looked down at my feet and nodded, "yeah, I figured telling him that I was going out with them was better than saying that I was going out with you, he's kind of overprotective of me because I'm all he has,"

"What's so wrong with going out with me?" He asked in a hurt tone.

"Please, please don't take this in the wrong direction," I pleaded, "it's nothing personal but I've heard about your partying history and I- I don't know I didn't want to tell him cause I know he would disapprove."
