Hide and Seek

Taehyung: little, ages 3-5

Jungkook: caregiver, boyfriend

The day was good so far. Taehyung woke up in littlespace, just a little bit older. He was 4 when usually he's 1-3.

After a few hours of coloring, playing with legos, and watching a movie, Taehyung suddenly gasped. He looked up from his legos and turned to Jungkook. Jungkook looked up curiously.

"What is it, baby?"

"Hide'n seek?" Taehyung asked. Jungkook smiled softly and nodded. Taehyung giggles before standing up clumsily. Jungkook had to catch him swiftly before standing up himself.

"Who's counting, love?" Taehyung pointed to his caregiver.

"You siwwy!" Taehyung said, giggling loudly. Jungkook fake gasped.

"Why me?" He said.

"C-cause!" Taehyung stuttered, a habit he had while little. Jungkook's heart fluttered.

"Ok, baby. Go hide! I'll be counting to 15," Jungkook said while ushering the little away. Taehyung laughed and ran when Jungkook has started counting.

Taehyung glanced around and somehow winded up in the kitchen. He decided to hide in the pantry when Jungkook hit 12.

He tried to suppress his laughter as Jungkook was walking around.

"Where's Tae?" Jungkook called out.

"Is he... here?" Jungkook pulled open the fridge, trying to be silly. This made Taehyung start laughing out loud. He quieted down quickly, something he was good at both in little and in big space.

Jungkook still heard his baby's laugh, though. And as silly and fun as it was, he wanted to see his baby again.

"Is he... here?" Jungkook said as he pulled open the pantry. Taehyung laughed loudly again and Jungkook picked him up and covered him in kisses. He picked him up by his waist and turned in circles. Taehyung's laughter was echoing throughout the house now. Never had Jungkook heard him this happy. Sure he had those good days, but never had he ever heard him laugh this much.

Maybe they should play hide and seek more often.
