"Hey...Silver wake up." he said shaking me avoiding the vines,"we're here". We arrived at a small house although I couldn't shake the feeling that I've been here before. "Where are we?" I had a raspy voice. The house was a red almost garnet color with trees all around the house ,it looked like we were in the middle of a forest ."you remember your godfather right?" he asked scratching the back of his head. I knew I had one I just never met him "kinda...not really" I never really met the guy but I do remember he had this happy attitude all the time. We got out of the car and were about to walk up to the house when dad stopped me. "Silver try making a small flame in your hands" he was asking me this as if I knew how. I gave him a look and asked "how I barely know how I did any of this.''. He face palmed and opened the book "okay so what you want to do is think of something you are really passionate about, focus that energy into the palms of your hands then expel that energy and hold it" He said reading the book. I took a deep breath and felt my body temperature rise. I opened my eyes and ...nothing "Hey what gives?" I said in annoyance. For some reason dad was all giggly "silver look at your back". I took a look at my back and my roses were on fire and no I didn't pass out this time. "This is amazing!" dad was sounding like I did when I discovered video games. "I didn't take you for a magic fanboy" I said sarcastically. "Shut up and walk" he was visibly embarrassed "make sure you keep that fire lit". Once we passed the gate the house looked completely different. It was almost as tall as the trees around us and they grew up to at least thirty feet high. I haven't the slightest clue how it was standing. The way it was built reminded me of Jack skelingtons house from The Nightmare Before Christmas. My dad kept walking while I stood there in awe. Dad looked at me "are ya coming?". "Y-yeah" I hesitated.
