Eleanor's POV

1 month later

I walked down the stairs with the twins to take them for a walk when I saw Dad sitting on the couch crying. I sat next to him.

"Dad, is this about Mom?"

"Part of it yes, but they fired me from work."

"What!?"

"I've been depressed, Eleanor. I didn't want to bother you with it, but I couldn't concentrate at work and my boss fired me."

"Well, I can't work.I have to take care of the kids."

"I'll find something, maybe at that bookstore you worked at. Going to take the kids for a walk?"

"Yeah, wanna come?"

"No, you go see the outdoors. I'll stay here reading a book."

"Ok"- I got up and put the kids in the strollers.-"Bye Dad"-I wanted to walk out the door, but I guess it was time to say it. I turned around.-"Love you"

"Love you, too"

I walked down the streets towards Central Park when a poster caught my eye:

"New Publicist needs writing talents! Bring your story in today!"

*Maybe Dad doesn't need a job. All I need is a pen and paper.*

I walked home, put the kids in the cribs, and went to my room. I sat on my desk, got a pen and a paper, and began to write the first sentence of the story:

"I woke up on a Friday, my first day of school in Liverpool."
