Eleanor's POV

It was six-thirty. John and I left the the house half-hour earlier because it took twenty-five minutes from my house. We passed through an ice cream parlor and I had an urge of eating one.

"I think you'll catch flies if you keep your mouth open like that." I didn't recognize I had my mouth open. "Hi Tammy" He waved at the girl on the other side of the counter.

"Hi John, still finding room for the geniuses?"

"One more and I get expelled."

"What brings you here?"

"Well I was on my way to the pictures, but Eleanor here got hypnotized by the ice-cream." John looked at me with a smile."What flavor? My treat"

"What? John...You don't have to, I-"

"A girl like you deserves to be treated like a lady."

"But-" He lowered himself at my height and looked straight in my eyes.

"No buts. If you don't eat it, I'll eat it myself."

"Vanilla" He smiled and turned to the counter.

"One vanilla, Tammy, And the usual."

"Coming right up!"

She came with a vanilla ice-cream cone and a chocolate ice cream cone with fudge, sprinkles and gummy bears on top. I thought my eyes were going to dry up when I saw that monster.

"That's your usual!?"

"Yep.How much for it?"

"On the house" Tammy replied

"Gee, thanks Tammy."

"Just wish me luck with college."

"Aye"

"Nice meeting you" Tammy smiled at me.

"You too" I smiled back and walked with John.

"She's a senior at school."

"John, what she meant about finding room for the geniuses?"

"I got detention for showing my friend in front of the girls."

"OK..."

"So, they sent me to the principal and he told me I was a nowhere boy."

"Well I don't think that."

We finished our ice-creams and kept walking till we saw Paul and Watts outside a building with flashing lights.

"Hi Macca! Wanted to inform you we have practice tomorrow at five, my place."

"OK"

"And you must be Paul's bird.Watts is it?"

"Yes, and you must be John?"

"Correct"

"What film are we watching?" I spoke up.

"Bonnie and-George?"

"I thought the film was called 'Bonnie and Clyde'."

Paul pointed behind us. I turned around and saw George and my brother standing like idiots.

"Did you guys follow me?"

"No!"-George answered-"I was just going to the pictures with me pal." George grabbed my brother's hand-"Got a problem?"

My brother noticed George's actions and glared at him. A boy and his mother were passing by and stopped by and ice-cream cart. The boy about the age of ten saw them and looked confused.
