THIS IS THE SHORT START

-Raquel-

I lifted myself out of the car and breathed in deeply . Shit , the air smelled the same . I tilted my head back and looked up at the sky . The sky was the same damn blue as in my neighborhood . I stomped my foot on the pavement . The ground was still hard .

I sighed .

I was trippin' . I was only a few hours from my neighborhood , wasn't like shit was going to be different . The only thing that was different was that i was out of the ghetto and at college .  That was all .

Dante .

I hadn't been away from is but a few hours and already i was missing his ass like crazy . In the 3 mobths we had been together , he had grown on me and that was the truth .

The parking lot to the school was huge , filled with cars of all different shapes and sizes and people walking in groups laughing and talking . Some people were walking alone looking happy and others just confused .

I checked my tan cargo shorts and made sure i had my phone and car keys before i locked and closed the door to the car . I just started walking toward the main school building .

My nerves were jumpin’ for whatever reason . But it was time to get away from the bullshit back home and have a little fun .
