Chapter-13

*Clatter* * clatter* the sound of the cups and plates washing could be heard through out inside the kitchen room.

" Miss Marumi ? Do you need a hand?" Kenichi approached closer towards the older woman who was keeping herself busy with the dishes.

" Oh! No, no " Marumi slowly shooked her head as she sent a smile towards Kenichi.

Cleaning the last plate which was placed upon the sink, Marumi released a long sigh as she closed the water tape.

Turning back towards Kenichi, Marumi waved her hands in the air while she slightly begin to push Kenichi out of the Kitchen.

" You are my guest and my dear son's friend, you should just sit and relax until Riku finishes off with his sweet bathing time" Marumi giggled and smiled warmly while pushing him again out of the kitchen.

" Wa-wahh!!" Kenichi gasped as he quickly clutched upon the kitchen's door frame before he could fall down.

" Oh! I'm so sorry!!" Marumi widened her eyes upon seeing in realisation.

Kenichi awkwardly smiled as he shook both of his hands.

" No-no, it's okay!" Scratching his head while smiling nervously, Kenichi slowly began calming Marumi down who was nearly on the verge of crying.

Till suddenly a hand harshly grabbed Kenichi's wrist as they pulled Kenichi up.

Widening his eyes in shock, Kenichi quickly looked towards the culprit who was grabbing his wrists and on top of that, Kenichi could feel that his wrist was about to snap.

' it hurts (_ _)( ･ั﹏･ั)(｡ŏ﹏ŏ)!!!!! Was all Kenichi could think of until his eyes slowly blinked upon seeing the person who was now in front of him.

" Why were you hurting my Mother?" Haruto coldly stated as he glared at Kenichi who was struggling upon his grasp.

" No, i-i was not, right Miss Marumi? " stuttering slowly, Kenichi looked towards Marumi's direction and to his utter surprise, she was gone........

' she is gone?!!!!!'( •̀ㅁ•́;)( •̀ㅁ•́;)

"..............."

Slowly turning his head to face the other's deadly glare, Kenichi quickly released the deadly grasp from Haruto's hand.

" Done with the fake acting?" Haruto asked coldly while Kenichi clenched his hands.

Looking down at his feet, Kenichi slowly smirked as he suddenly looked up at Haruto.

" Yea, so what? " The room felt quiet as two figure slowly glared towards at each other as Haruto slowly approached towards Kenichi . Each having hatred towards among themselves.

" Kenichi-san?" A small figure appeared beside them as the two figure suddenly flinched, together at the same time.

Looking towards the figure, Kenichi suddenly shoved Haruto as he stepped back.

" A-ah Riku? You done?" Kenichi quickly asked as he stared at Riku.

" En" replying with just a simple word, Kenichi could feel shivers running up to his spine.

" Let's go, shall we?" Reaching out his hand, Riku suddenly grabbed Kenichi's wrist as he quickly dragged Kenichi away from the kitchen.

" But-but your mother?" Quickly thinking what to say, Kenichi suddenly thought of Marumi as he quickly asked Riku about it.

" She's already outside, she's waiting for us so that she can drop you home" Riku coldly stated as he began dragging him away from Haruto who was already glaring daggers at them and walking away.

" Oh, tha-" before Kenichi could say anything .

*Slam!!!!*

Kenichi could feel his back bone cracking as he was harshly slammed against the hard concrete wall .

Wincing in pain, Kenichi slowly reached down towards his back so that he could rubbed it, in order to reduce the horrible pain but he was cut off by Riku suddenly holding both of his wrist .

" Tell me" Kenichi widened his eyes upon hearing his question.

" What do you mean?" Quickly he responded back to Riku who was looking down on the ground.

" Tell me, why were you so close with him?" A big sweatdrop appeared in front of Kenichi's forehead as he tilt his head questionly to look at Riku.

Till suddenly he was suddenly cut off again.

" Just kidding!! Let's go now, shall we Kenichi-san ?" Riku quickly raised his head as he smiled cheerily at Kenichi.

" Okay?........" Kenichi questionly answered back to Riku as he stared back at Riku's retreating figure who was slowly approaching towards the front door.

' Weird....' was all Kenichi could think of as he slowly followed Riku.

Soon

" We are here" Marumi shouted suddenly while stepping on the brakes causing the car to suddenly come to a halt .

Stepping out, Kenichi slowly bowed while he suddenly spoke out .

" I really enjoyed staying there . And I especially enjoyed your delicious dinner, Miss Marumi. Thank you so much" Kenichi slowly bowed while smiling.

" Aww, such a sweet boy! I'm so happy to hear that and next time, be sure to visit again someday!" Marumi happily answered while starting on the engine.

" I will" Kenichi smiled again till he was quickly cutted off by Riku who was busy staring intensely at him.

" I'll be meeting you tomorrow too, right?" Riku nervously asked as he stared at Kenichi.

" Yes" was all he could say till suddenly the car drove away.

" Goodbye Kenichi!" Waving her hands, Marumi slowly waved her hands as the car slowly disappeared away from his sight .

" Goodbye" smiling for the last time, Kenichi slowly frowned as he turned back to face his apartment .
