This is where things begin to happen I swear this story is way to boring atm.

Chapter 4: Disguises

The girl and I stared at each other shocked. Shit no one suppose to know I play football. Mahn now everyone will think I'm a weirdo, it's not that I mind I'm just trying not to get bullied again and still be myself. Difficult choice but still. I waited for Becky to say something still tongue tied, I didn't know what to say . Finally I gathered up the courage to speak sighing that we might never talk again because she will probably de-friend me.

"Becky what are you doing here ?" I ask her cautiously.

"Well I dropped off to say hi but . . . Danny are you playing football ?" she responds looking at me in shock. Cutting straight to the chase.

I sigh, "Yeah, I do so um you can hate me now"

"Huh? You really think I wouldn't want to be friends with you because you play football ?" The brunette laughs shaking her head.

"Uh. . . Yeah ?" I squeak.

"That's so stuiped Danny, I'm not so shallow, besides I've already accepted you as a friend can't back down now huh," Becky jokes.

I laugh and hug her. So I guess I was being a bit over dramatic because I didn't fit in to this school of stereotypes. Maybe I can change that then. If Becky can accept me for playing football I'm sure there's others who will as well.

"So you really don't think I'm a weirdo for loving football ?" I ask sitting down on the grass.

"Nah, but I shouldn't be shocked that you're a bit boyish, it's nothing bad," She says sitting next to me,"But unfortunately the school won't let you play, the principal is a tad bit . . ."

"Sexist?" I suggest,"Well I still want to play for the team"

Becky laughs,"You sound like that girl in she's the man"

"Wait that's it! I can pretend to be a boy and get on the team," I click my fingers, "Bec you're a genius"

"What no, Daniella stop this is a terrible idea, tryouts are this afternoon you'll never make it, forget what I said"

I think for a second and run inside the house pulling my best friend's hand. My parents must think I'm insane. Peter is gone away to university so I can dig in his room for some clothes.

"So here's the idea," I say to her laying the clothes on my bed. A black leather jacket, grey t-shirt and black jeans. Becky sits on my study chair and spins blocking her ears and singing blah blah blah. She doesn't want to hear my idea out. Pretending to be a boy to get onto the football team is not the worst idea I came up with.

I roll my eyes,"Please listen, pretty please," I beg.

Who can resist green puppy dog eyes.

"What Danny ? This is a risky idea what if they catch you ?" She asks folding her arms,"This isn't a good idea"

"Okay if they recognise me as a girl then I will give up the whole idea but, if not I'll try out for the football team, deal?"

"Fine," she sighs,"What are friends for"

"That sounded like Ty when we took off with Xavier"

"That's not a good idea"

"What?"

"Calling Xray by his name"

"He can't hear me"

"Still"
