"Baby please! Can we please get a puppy!? I think a dog will be good for little Evie!" I whined to Y/N. They were holding our three year old daughter, Evie, as she squirmed to get away to play. "A puppy will be to big of a responsibility," they replied as they put Evie down on the floor with her toys. I looked at Evie then back at Y/N. "But we have a child?" I raised an eyebrow. Y/N just scoffed and bit at their lip. "No Changkyun. No means no. Now help me put Evie down for the night," they scooped Evie up in their arms and made their way to the small childs bedroom. I groaned and followed, tucking my daughter into bed.
The next day ~ Y/N's POV
Changkyun was still asleep in our shared bedroom and Evie was curled up under his arm. I called Minhyuk to see if he could come over while I was gone, i had a plan. Minhyuk happily agreed and arrived shortly after. "Hi," he smiled sweetly "so what's your big plan?" He took his jacket off. "I'm going to get Changkyun and Evie a puppy," I sighed and fixed my shirt. Minhyuk nodded as he knew Changkyun has been begging for one. "I'll keep it a secret. Go get a doggy!" He practically pushed me out the door with a giggle. I smiled and drove down to the adoption center.
Changkyun's POV
I walked out of my room holding Evie's tiny hand. She screamed happily when she saw her uncle Minhyuk sitting on the couch. "Hey?" I raised an eyebrow, not seeing Y/N. "What are you doing here?" "Y/N had to go out for a bit, so I'm here to help with the baby," he said as he picked up my daughter and set her on his lap. "Okay?" I didn't quite understand. Didn't Y/N trust me with our child?
Hours have passed and Y/N still wasn't home. I tried calling them multiple times but they never answered. I had just finished the dishes from lunch when I heard the door open. "Changkyun? Babe!" Y/N called my name. I heard Evie call out to her other parent happily, then scream in surprise. "Dada!" Her voice was filled with glee as i rushed out to them. Looking at the floor, there was a small puppy, sniffing around my house. "Y/N! It's a puppy!" I kneeled down to pet the puppy's head and body. "Yes it is. His name is Charlie," they smiled and kneeled down beside me. I looked at my significant other and passionately kissed them. "Thank you. I love you," I said as Evie pushed between us to pet the puppy as well.
