It was a Tuesday night and you were going back home after a night out with friends at a bar near your house. When you left your house, it wasn't raining, but the clouds decided to close and let droplets of pain come down from the sky. You knew tonight was going to be a rough night, but you didn't anticipate rain.
The air was cold and damp when you stepped out the door to the bar and you could faintly hear thunder booming from miles away. The drizzle started to come down as the sky got darker and darker. Since you had walked to the bar, you were pretty confident in the fact that you were most likely going to get soaked.

After saying goodbye to your friends outside the bar, you started to walk home. The rain had really started at this point and you were very hesitant to walk home, but you knew you had to. You had no extra ones to pay for a cab, so you basically had no choice. You started to walk, but you had realized someone had walked up behind you and put an umbrella above your head. You turned to see a face that you had only seen a few times. You didn't know from where, but you did know him. "Hi, I'm Remington, I live in your building and I saw you were walking home so I thought since we are going in the same direction, I might as well keep a lady dry", he spoke softly. You melted at the sight of his beauty. You had never really gotten a good look at him since you only saw him coming in and out of his apartment a few times. "Thank you, very gentleman like" you said as your blush grew a brighter shade of pink.

When you had reached your apartment you turned to find Remington still there holding out a sheet of paper. It had his number on it. "Here, this is just incase you need another umbrella holder at some point. Maybe for a dinner or a date" he said sweetly. His blush creeped across his cheeks. "I may need to repay the umbrella holder at some point, how about sunday"? You asked. Rem stared at you with a smile creeping on his face. "Sunday works, I'll pick you up at eight", he said. You smiled at him and you did something you never thought you would ever have the courage to do. You kissed him on the cheek before saying "Goodbye" and closing your apartment door. You were pretty sure Remington was still out there stunned. You had finally met a vampiric gentleman.
