Melissa and Chris

Melissa POV

Its been 3 weeks without the girls, three weeks of pure torture. Chris and I started foster care classes and should be able to get the girls in two days. That is if there current foster parents allow us to get them. Life on set has changed a lot everyone is grieving the loss of the girls and struggling with there emotions, Chyler and I sat her trailer and cried for an hour earlier. The only hope I have right now is that there is a possibility that we can get the girls back.

                                                               2 days later

we got certified yesterday which means that we can get the girls back. Sue called the girl's current foster parents to see if we can get the girls. Now, we are just waiting for Sue to call us back. ''ring ring ring'' I check my phone so fast I almost drop it. ''Hello Mrs. Wood, I spoke to both of the girl's current placements and they agreed to let you take them,'' Sue says. ''Oh thank God'' I say.  ''But, Renly's current foster parents want to meet you and your husband before they make their decision,'' Sue says. ''Oh okay, so when do we get to pick up Camryn and met Renlys parents?'' I ask. ''You can get Camryn this afternoon and Renly tomorrow,'' Sue says. ''perfect,'' I say. We discuss the details and the meeting time for a little while longer then we end our conversation. I call Chris and immediately tell him the news. Thirty minutes after our call ended he comes home from work and we are on our way to get Camryn. We walk up to the door, I can bearly contain my excitement. A  lady opens the door and appears very tired but still gives us a warm smile. '' Hi, you must be the Woods?'' She asks. ''yes, we are here for Camryn.'' I say. '' Yes right this way.'' The lady says and takes us down a narrow hallway. It's so messy I have to watch my feet so I don't fall. We get to an open room that's packed with kids, I scan the room for Camryn but I can't find her.  ''Where is she?'' I ask. ''She might be in the bedroom,'' The lady says. We go up the clustered stairs to a bedroom filled with beds. That's when I see a heartbreaking scene. A little girl curled up in a corner crying into her knees. ''Camryn'' I say. She looked up and the biggest smile I have ever seen appears on her face. She runs towards me arms open wide. '' You came!'' she exclaims. I engulf her into a big hug and she starts sobbing into my shoulder. ''What's wrong?'' I ask. ''I'm just so happy you came I was so scared,'' she says in-between sobs. ''I'm here now baby, it's okay,'' I say. She looks up at me ''Wheres Chris?'' She asks. Camryn looks up from my shoulder and jumps into Chris's arms. She clings to him like a koala would cling to a tree branch. Mrs. Smith tells us that we just had to fill out some paperwork then we can leave. The next hour and a half we sit in the office filling out forms. Mrs. Smith asks Camryn if she wanted to go play but she shook her head no. She kept rotating between sitting on my lap and Chris's lap. Once we got in the car she asks where Renly was. I tell her that we are going to try to get her tomorrow. Camryn asks us a million questions on the way home. She is super excited to see the dogs and see our house. 10 minutes before we got home she finally fells asleep, I am glad because she looks exhausted. When we pulled up to the house Chris gets her out of the car careful not to wake her. I went ahead and went in before them to see if I could calm the dogs down because typically when we get home they go all crazy. I was able to somewhat calm them down and thankfully they don't wake up Camryn. Chris laid her down on the couch and I sat down next to her. Chris turns the TV on and sits next to me. I am so happy that our family is back together. well, part of our family we just need to get little Renly back then we will be complete. I think to myself

Chris POV

I woke to the sun shining in my eyes and a small hand draped across my face. Last night Camryn didn't want to leave us so we let her sleep with us. I got up and made some coffee and sat outside and had my daily devotional. About 30 minutes later Melissa came outside and joined me. This was one of my favorite parts of my day when just us two get to spend time together in the mornings. Melissa laid her head down on my shoulder and played with the ring on my finger. We sat in comfortable silence when all of a sudden we heard the sobs of a small child. We bolted up and ran inside, Camryn was in tears on our bed. She jumped into Melissa's arms and held her tight.  '' I was afraid you left me'' Camryn cried those words broke my heart. I sit down next to her ''Camyrn I promise we will never leave you,'' I tell Camryn while gently stroking her long hair.  ''Pommis?'' Camryn asks ''I promise'' I say and kiss her on the head.  We have a nice breakfast and get ready to go get Renly. Camryn still gets scared if she can't see me or Melissa.  Leaving her at Chyler's house wasn't really an option so we decided to bring her with us. When we get to Renly's house Camryn tenses up and grabs my leg.  ''This is where the scary guy lives, he has paint on his skin,'' Camryn explains. Now, I'm nervous what if they hurt Renly? I rang the doorbell and we were greeted by a lady who was probably about 25 years old and clearly was into fashion. She was covered in designer jewelry and clothes. ''Hi, I'm-'' '' I know who you are your that girl on supergirl blah blah blah.''The lady says cutting Melissa off.  Melissa was a bit taken back by her response but quickly composed herself  ''yes, I am my name is Melissa.'' she says.  ''I'm Tonya, come in and let's get this over with.'' She says dryly.  We walk into their house it had to be at least a million-dollar home. There is a golden chandelier just above the entry and a grand piano that sits in the living room.  ''Where's Renly?'' I ask. ''She's asleep I wanted to meet you and your wife before you see her. I just need to make sure you're not just doing this for the fame,'' Tonya says. ''I assure you, mam, we are not doing this for the fame,'' I say. We walk into the dining room and are greeted by her husband, Mark. Camryn berries her head into my shoulder, I rub small circles around her back hoping it would help her relax. ''So, you want to adopt Renly is that correct?'' Mark asks. ''yes, sir that is correct,'' I say. ''Are you doing this just for the fame, to make yourselves look good?'' Mark asks. ''No sir, we are not,'' I say. I then proceed to tell him the entire story of how we met the girls. Tonya looks at me ''Based on the reaction Renly makes when she sees you will be the deciding factor,'' Tonya says. Camryn perks up at the sound of Renly's name '' I get to see sissy?'' Camryn asks.  ''No, the child can not be in the room when you two see her,'' Mark says. ''Why can't she come with us?'' I ask. ''It might interfere with her reaction,'' Mark explains.  I take Camryn aside  ''Cam, Melissa and I have to go see Renly and you have to stay out here for a minute can you do that? '' I ask. ''why can't I go with you?'' Camryn asks quitly. ''Because Mark and Tonya wont let you come but, we are going to be right though that door.'' I explain. ''okay, promise me you wont leave me?'' Camryn asks.  ''I promise,'' I say.  Melissa and I walk into Renly's room to see that she's sitting on her bed staring out her window. ''Renly'' I say. She turns around and within seconds she has her tiny arms around my neck and her legs around my torso not wanting to let go.  ''I missed you so much'' I say. ''I missed (sniff) you too'' Renly sobs. I hold her in a tight embrace and the only things you can hear are the soft sniffles of Renly's cry's. She looks up from my shoulder and see's Melissa and jumps out of my arms and pounces onto Melissa.  Renly wrapped her tiny hands around Melissa. ''I missed you so much,'' Renly says ''I missed you so much too,'' Melissa whispers.  Mark cleared his throat ''I hate to interrupt this family reunion but I have one more question to ask and it's for Renly. ''Renly do you love these people?'' Mark asks. ''yes berry much.'' Renly replied.  Mark let out a long sigh ''okay then you can take her,'' Mark says. ''ya she was a little pest anyways.'' Tonya says. I feel the anger build up inside me but I quickly relax when I feel Melissa's hand slip into mine.  We walk out of the room and as soon as Camryn sees Renly, Renly Jumped out of my arms and ran to Camryn.  ''I missed you so much sissy'' Renly tells Camryn.  ''I missed you more,''  Camryn says.   Not a moment later the social worker came with the paper for us to fill out so we could take Renly home. As soon as the girls saw her they both crash into me practically crawling up my leg. I pick up Renly and Melissa pick's up Camryn I can practically feel Renly shaking with fear. ''Its okay Renly she's just here to give me and Melissa paperwork, she isn't taking you,'' I gently explain.  Renly doesn't respond, she only tightens her grip around my neck. An hour and a half later we finally got to take the girls home.
