(Hermione's PoV)
"Hermione Avyanna Zabini, what did you do to these pancakes?" Ginny asked, after just one bite. "They taste so good!" Everyone stared at me.
"You mean that they don't normally taste this good?" Theo asked.
"I added a special ingrediant. What do you taste?" I asked, hoping to get out of explaining why.
"I taste fresh strawberries and cream." Ginny said.
"I taste apples and cinnamon." Draco replied. 'I do too.' I thought. 'If they ask, I'm screwed.'
"Strawberries and cream." Blaise responded.
"Oranges and vanilla." Pansy stated.
"Chocolate and mint." Theo and Astoria said, at the same time.
"Oranges and vanilla." Daphne replied.
"What do you taste Hermione?" Ginny asked, noticing that I was the only one that hadn't spoken.
"Apples and cinnamon."
"Why do we all taste different things?" Blaise asked, looking at me.
"The flavors that you taste are fruity comport foods, or in Theo and Atsy's cases, just comfort foods."
"That is soo cool Hermione! A spell that makes food taste like fruity comfort foods. Wait, what exactly is it? A spell? A potion?"
"It is a spell. A spell I made."
"Really?" Pansy asked, completely shocked.
"Well, I'm not called the brightest witch my age for nothing. I invented this spell in fourth year. I perfected it, making sure it wouldn't interfere with potions or other healing spells. I gave it to Madam Pomfrey in my fifth year. She was really impressed."
"Who wouldn't be impressed?" Theo asked. 'I think that they forgot about asking me who my mate is. Halleluiah!'
"Wait, quick question. Is it a coincidence that Blaise and I taste the same thing?" Ginny asked. 'Nope. Not getting out of this anytime soon.'
"No. Apparently a new side effect is that if two people taste the same thing, they are soulmates. So, those of us who taste the same thing as someone else have found our soulmates. Me included."
Well, look at me. This many chapters so soon after each other is not normal. Again, this chapter is dedicated to a friend of mine. She keeps pestering me to update, and honestly I'm not sure if I would be updating as much without her.
