Chapter 18

Two mouths that did not meet met, emitting the same exact word even at the same time. Both were speechless

- That means it's time for the promise to be make ! I plan to hold an engagement ceremony for you two next week.

This time, Taehyung's father spoke. Both Joy and Taehyun had no time to say anything when her mother cut in.

They kept trying to look at each other and forced a smile. Finally the torture is over when Taehyung's family left , Joy struggled to reach the room. Her head is thick and a mess right now.

Irene was dully standing in the sunny yard. The sun shone brightly on her face, making her feel hot, but her nose and eyes were so hot she was about to cry.

It is so heartbreaking. In the end, Taehyung and Joy got engaged, they will get engaged next week. What can she do?

On one side was the person she loved, on the other side was her younger sister. Only now did she realize that she didn't even know if Taehyun loved her? Can the love she has for him ultimately be reciprocated or forever just a one-sided love?

What good being a female lead? If possible, she still wanted to be the villain, because the villain would not be trampled like the female lead, not be hated like the female lead. Perhaps the villain get more attention from the male lead then the female lads

She didn't think at all and just pressing the call button. Exactly 10 minutes later Jin was at the gate taking Irene to eat ice cream at her request.

After walking around for a while, Jin and Irene finally found a suitable ice cream shop. Normally, in the eyes of Jin, Irene is always a respectful and decent girl. Everything is good, everything is beautiful, she is very attractive.

But now, for the first time he went to eat with her , Jin suddenly realized that there were still many things that he didn't know about her.

Jin didn't know what was going on, but Irene has been silent since they got here . She just sat quietly eating ice cream, while Jin had not yet finished one cup, Irene had finished all seven cups of ice cream. Just looking at the table full of cups, Jin was shocked. - Jin! Do you think that Taehyung like Joy?

Jin raised his hand and stroked his chin as if he was thinking and then said:

- I don't know, but why are you asking that?

- If I said I liked Taehyung, would you believe it?

Jin didn't seem surprised at all, still looking at Irene with big, attractive eyes.

- Um! Why don't you tell him?

- Will it gonna make any difference?

Seeing Jin didn't say anything , Irene continued:

- In love, there is a lead role, there is also a supporting role. The lead role is always the one that broken and the supporting role is always the hurt one. I don't know how long I'll be broken but I can't let Joy get hurt. Although she doesn't consider me as her older sister, she is always gonna be my younger sister. As sister I must protect my sister, right? Besides, I think Taehyung likes her.

- Do you think the male lead will like the villain? Asked Jin

- Yes! I don't know who or what movie . But I believe Taehyung really likes Joy!

- Is the female lead like you too generous ?

Irene said nothing but smiled and said goodbye to Jin, then went inside. I wonder if she heard Jin's last sentence:

- So if I say I like you, do you believe?
Jin then smiled, but that smile was so bitter.
