Chapter 22

Jin and Irene then returned to the party but everyone was leaving one by one .

After listening to her mom , Irene learned that Dad had announced to cancel the marriage. Both she and Jin were so surprised that they were speechless. Her father disappeared, Joy disappeared and Taehyung also disappeared. But the two of them didn't know that somewhere. After find out that the engagement party was canceled, Taehyung quickly drove to Joy's house, the most luxurious villa .

He just went in and asked the people who worked there if Joy was home when they said she was in her room. But just as he was about to enter Joy room when he discovered that not only Joy but also President Park was in there .

Originally planning to go out to wait but that fascinating conversation drew him to listening. From the room came a deep sound of President Park:

- I have canceled the engagement as you requested. But do you really want to cancel?

Joy nodded like firewood then said in bitterly:

- I heard what mom said! Don't you want me to go to America? Now I want to go, I want to go to America tomorrow. Please give me the earliest flight.

Joy's father was about to say something, but when he saw that pitiful face of his daughter, he didn't say anything, but a "ok"

As soon as he stepped outside, he met Taehyung immediately. He just nodded to Taehyung and whispered a few sentences:

- After talking to Joy, come down to see me!

Taehyung just smiled ,pitifully nodded and walked inside. He closed the door in front of Joy's surprised eyes. But very soon she regained her normal mood and looked up at him:

- Why are you here?

- Why did you cancel the engagement?
Being questioned by the unexpected opposite of Taehyung, she was silent and speechless.

- If you want to go to America, just tell me, where is it that you have to cancel our engagement party?

- Not that !

Knowing that he had misunderstood the reason, but she did not dare to justify.

What she gonna say to him huh? "I broke my engagement for you to be with Irene, I did that so I could see the two of you happy, I hope you two are happy!"

Isn't that a bit fake?

- Then why?

- Because I don't love you. I can't be engaged to someone I don't love.

- It is true, so please go! This will be the last time I see your face! Hope you will be happy later.

Without letting Taehyung say anything, Joy pushed him out of the room and slammed the door. She then tiredly leaned her back against the door, probably because the door was so slippery that she followed that momentum and slid down until she was seated on the ground to stop. She didn't know that Taehyung on the other side was sitting on the cold ground like her, leaning against the rigid door like her. The two of them just sat like that, only one door apart. They only need to open the door to see each other, just open the door to be able to embrace each other, just open the door and can analyze each other clearly. But they did not do so, they sat still like that to feel the coldness of the floor seeping into their body, making them cold.

After a long time, Joy wiped away the tears and got up, hesitated for a moment, then set the doorknob but didn't dare to open it. She didn't know that Taehyung over there was hesitating whether to open the door or not.
