Chapter 20

Before she could hear Taehyung finished speaking, Joy turned and ran away, no matter how much Jin stopped her from holding her, she refused to stay there to listen to any more words.

Just like that is enough, just hearing it is enough to understand. Joy rushed out, she didn't know where she was going but the only thing she knew right now was that she was no longer at that engagement party even though she was the main character tor tonight.

But just one night, just one night for her to be the main character and now it not even possible anymore . Perhaps she is forever just a small protagonist that is not worthy of everyone's attention in the movie, maybe she can only be the villain who getting hated by people.

Joy keep walking on this familiar path. Until now, she has understood that villains are just villains forever, no matter what they do, they cannot become female leads.

No matter how much the villain tries, the male lead can only be with the female lead, only the female lead. A villain like her does not have the right to claim the love of the male lead, a villain with so many evil tricks, how can it be compared to the female lead?

Not long after Joy was standing in front of the cinema, she stared at a sentimental film that young people today seems to like called "The heirs", muttering softly:

If someone were to ask me that if I had a wish then I'd would definitely tell the person "I just hope that someday in a movie, the person that the main male lead love is the villain, not the female lead" But that just my own wish and a villain like me is not worthy of the male leads love

While she was wandering aimlessly on the cold roadside Joy didn't know that the engagement party was going crazy for her.

- What ? Joy is not in the room?

President Park seemed to be very angry, with blue veins on his forehead, the face from red to black, making everyone in the room so afraid to breathe. At this moment, Joy's mother spoke to break the scary atmosphere of silence:

- I'll find her soon!

Joy's mother said she was about to turn around but president Park stood up and said:

Maybe Irene's was always more pitiful than Joy's because Irene didn't grew up in the warm, loving arms of a father, perhaps everyone would think that he would definitely spend all the love left for Irene, and will push Joy out of his life like he never had a child like her. But did anyone know that in his mind, he always found Joy very pitiful, she was hundred times more pitiful than Irene.

Even from little till now, Joy always lived in a happy family, growing up in the love of parents. But perhaps only the people in the family can understand how Joy has suffered so much pressure, how much damage she receives just to be like who she is today. He had never said, never once said that he loved her, and he had never hugged her in his arms which is full of affection.

Not that he hated her, but that he was afraid that she would hate him. He was afraid that after knowing about Irene, she would get rid of his hand, and would not let him hug her .

He was so afraid that he kept distance away from her . A father's affection for his daughter is never wrong , but he never dared to confess it , but to keep it to himself.

Maybe so, Joy always thought he hated her. And maybe that's why she's now so hurt.

President Park quietly closed his teary eyes so that tears wouldn't come out. He opened the door and got off the car to get his usual self:

- This spoiled girl hurry stands up and follows me back! How much troubles you finna give me now huh ?

Joy raised her teary face to look at her dad and was shaking her head signaling she don't want to

- Don't let me use forces because I will

No matter how cold that voice was, how scary it is, Joy didn't budge.

- Bring the lady home!

As soon as he finished, the two men in black standing behind President Park, now approached each one hugging one of Joy's arms. The more she struggled, the tighter they held, making her arm ache.

- Go !

President Park turned around and walked away, just about to get into the car but Joy's voice made him stop, stiffening:

- Don't! Please Dad, I don't want to, I don't want to go back , I can't be engaged to Taehyun.

Seeing her father silent and didn't say anything , Joy continued:

- He doesn't love me, he loves Irene. How can i be engaged to someone who doesn't love me? How can I be the third person to separate them? Fate has arranged for me to only be able to play the villain, forever and unable to be the female lead, dad! And the male lead cannot love the villain, he just can't .

-So I beg you please don't make me return to that place okay? I'm scared

-If you forces me to go back there to get engaged to Taehyun, just for me to see his miserable face when he have to get engaged to someone he doesn't love like me, I can't do it dad. I am so so so tired dad..

Joy said and then flipped the hands of the two bodyguards who were holding her, and having just walked a few steps when she tripped on her legs probably due to her high heels .

She removed the two shoes , thrown them on the side and continued to limp. Her feet touched the cold ground, but was it as cold as her heart now?

President Park is not forcing her to return nor for her to comeback .

He pulled out his cell phone and dialed a number:

- Tell everyone I canceled the engagement today. I will deal with the rest later.
