'Wait a minute, it's SUNDAY!!!' Nita gasped loudly when she and Leon returned to their dormitory.
Leon shot her a confused look. 'What's wrong with today being Sunday?' He asked.
'Don't you get it?!' Nita hollered as she shook Leon like crazy. 'Maia's stronger vision was made last week! That means whatever she saw is going to happen TOMORROW!!!'
'Whoa, chill!' Leon shouted back as he broke free from Nita's deadly grasp. 'Let's ask Maia once she wakes up. She must've made the picture already.'
'Yeah, I guess your right,' Nita replied as she looked at the clock, which read 3:00 a.m. 'Time to get about 5 hours of sleep, as if I have had enough sleep anyway.'
After a few hours of lying awake, Nita, who didn't sleep a wink, busted down her door, went through her daily routine and started to read a book. What was she reading, she didn't really care. As long as whatever she's doing manages to stop her from screaming in fear and frustration, she'll just do it.
'Good morning, Nita,' Maia greeted, though her voice was shaky. 'I never seen you reading before.'
Nita smiled half heartedly. 'I'm trying to stop myself from screaming my head off,' she joked. Suddenly, she became serious. 'Maia, have you completed that picture on the vision?'
Maia nodded her head. 'Yup. All done. Come on, I'll show you.'
Maia pulled Nita into her room and went to her desk. The desk was quite messy. Pencils, erasers, pens and wadded papers took up almost every inch of the table. The only thing that wasn't covered was a hand-drawn picture.
'Here you go,' Maia muttered as she handed the drawing to Nita. When Nita looked at it, her blood instantly drained from her face.
Nita stumbled backwards. She found it very hard to breathe.
'Nita! What's wrong?' Maia asked, worried.
'It can't be......' Nita's voice faltered.
Leon was suddenly at the door. 'Girls! What's-'
He instantly became quiet when he saw the drawing Nita was holding.
It was a picture of a gigantic, golden robot stepping out from the ocean, with a small and deadly bombing robot in its palm. A small army was facing the robots. Leon immediately recognised the spot of red in the army. He gulped.
'Oh, chameleons,' Leon muttered gravely. 'I forgot to tell you about that.'
'About what?' Nita struggled to form her sentence.
Before Leon could answer, Nita fell to the floor and passed out in both tiredness and fear. Her head landed with a clunk on the cement floor.
______
'School is closed for the week!' Maia exclaimed as soon as Nita woke up, which was at 2p.m.
'Wait, WHAT??!!' Nita howled as she stood upright, all awake.
'The principal made an announcement during your blackout,' Leon quickly added. 'He stated that both the primary and secondary schools of Sidawa Academy are being closed, though I'm not sure about the reason.'
Nita turned to Maia.
Maia shrugged. 'I don't know the reason either.'
Leon looked at Nita anxiously. He was worried that Nita will ask him about the battle, but it seems like Nita had forgotten about him mentioning it. It seems like Nita had forgotten about the entire battle.
'I guess she's better off not knowing the reason,' Leon thought before turning back to Maia. 'Does anyone have plans for the holiday?'
'We can walk Bruce again,' Maia suggested as she eyed Nita with a mischievous look.
Nita face palmed. 'Okay, fine! I'll explain everything!' She hollered.
So Nita and Leon began to explain about everything. Maia didn't even interrupt once. Her violet eyes instantly widened when she heard that Bibi managed to survive even with severe wounds.
'You prevented her death,' Maia mumbled, amazed.
'I was just letting my instincts take control of me,' Nita shrugged.
Leon made a face. 'And that involves pinning people to the ground.'
'Hey!' Nita shouted as she made an attempt to pounce on Leon. Maia laughed.
'Well, I guess it's time for you to get something to eat, Nita,' she said. 'You have been out since 10 a.m.'
That was the only time Nita realised that she was hungry.
'Oh!' Nita shouted as she dashed to the door, Leon and Maia following her.
Even after that conversation, Leon looked very uneasy. What will Nita do if she found out the truth? What will Nita do once she sees the gigantic robot?
______
'Come on, Bruce!' Nita shouted as she tugged Bruce on Monday. It was clear that he didn't want to go out after what had happened on Saturday.
'Maia is out of sight,' Leon quickly whispered into Nita's ear.
'Oh. Thanks,' Nita whispered back as she transferred Bruce into her Jewel.
Maia quickly returned. 'Where's Bruce?' She asked, surprised by the sudden disappearance of the massive creature.
'Outside. I told him to go out first,' Nita replied, trying her best to hide her fear.
Nita ran outside first and spawned Bruce in a dark alley. The bear-dog followed her this time, though he whined sadly.
'Oh, shut up,' Nita hissed as they stepped back into the sunlight, Leon and Maia waiting for them.
'You hid Bruce in the dark alley?' Maia asked, surprised once again.
'Surely anyone could be spooked by how massive he is, right?' Nita asked back, and Maia was quiet.
The trio walked down the street. It was really, really quiet, for every adult in the city had gone for work. Not a single car appeared on the streets at all. The wind from the ocean can be felt all the way from where they were, which was about 3 kilometres away.
'The ocean,' Leon shuddered. Maia nodded her head in agreement. Nita didn't seem to notice their actions - she was too busy dragging Bruce.
'That's it!' Nita shouted angrily. She let go of the leash. 'Bruce! Go and play!'
Bruce immediately charged through the empty streets and towards the ocean. Nita followed him, not noticing the shocked expressions on Leon and Maia's faces.
'Leon,' Maia whispered breathlessly, her face as white as a ghost. 'Should we follow her?'
'I don't know......' Leon muttered quietly. 'I guess we should just keep a safe distance.'
Leon and Maia silently followed Nita and Bruce, their distance well kept.
Bruce was busy digging away at the sand of the beach. He woofed and yelped from time to time. Nita was dodging the sand that Bruce kicked up.
'Bruce! Stop that!' Nita hollered, but Bruce didn't listen.
Suddenly, Nita's sensitive ears heard Jessie, Brock and Mortis's screams.
'What in the world?!' Nita shouted as she jumped back. 'Why in the name of God do I hear Mortis screaming?!'
'Mortis?!' Leon shouted back, shocked. He didn't know that the dashing assassin has already arrived at Tiaro City.
'Who's Mortis?' Maia asked, confused. No one answered her question.
'I also hear Jessie and Brock's voices,' Nita quickly muttered. 'And I think they are screaming in-'
Before Nita could even finish her sentence, the waves of the ocean started to rise sky high. Leon can clearly see the three dots in the distance that were definitely Jessie, Brock and Mortis.
The waves suddenly descended back down to the ocean's surface, and a gigantic, golden, hollow-eyed robot was now standing in the middle of the ocean.
