Chapter 23

Jungkook's POV

We were riding back to the wedding destination by taxi...it was 8:00 pm by now. It was silent during the ride and we both were looking out of the window.

"Three years ago I was working for a company called Trek America. I was on a trek with 24 college students... returned to the city after 8 days. That's when my Busan phone came on. I had 155 voice messages. My family.....Jimin, Rosè....."

My breath hitched. I don't know why I was telling her this but it just felt so comfortable talking to her that I feel I can tell her literally anything....

"My father had passed away. He passed away on Monday....I found out on Saturday. His last rites had already been performed. We hadn't spoken in over a month....I hadn't seen him in three years. He used to say I should visit more often...I...should have listened to him"

I didn't know when I started crying. I just got to know when I felt something wet on my cheeks.
Suddenly I felt something intertwining my hand...it was her hand. She just looked at me and put her head on my shoulder.

I woke up after I guess 1 hour. We were still in that position but she was still not awake. I don't know why but I kept looking at her lips and I seriously don't know when I started moving closer and closer, my eyes fixated only on her lips not caring about anything. But i guess I moved a bit too much because she woke up. When she realised that we were still in that position she gasped and got out of the taxi. I was left dumbfounded. Her lips were so plump, so juicy, so sweet that i couldn't resist myself.

"2000 seen"

"2000 blind"

"4000 seen"

"Pack"

I saw that Jimin was playing poker with some guys and I guess he didn't win. So I went there to help him.

"10000 seen"

"10000 show" I said.

"Don't get into this man" Said Jimin.

"You play" I reassured him.

"Good hand. Thank you everyone! See you later"

Some guy had won all that money. This was the second time in one day I was dumbfounded.

I saw that Jimin was glaring at me.

"What? How is this my fault!?"
I started getting defensive.

"This isn't Las Vegas, man. You weren't going to hit a double jackpot"

"I was doing my thing dude....wait....double jackpot? Las Vegas?...the casino episode...where she puts 20 dollars in the slot machine and..."

"Won 20,000"
Jimin completed it. So he had been watching my show.

"You'll have done what....40 episodes? I've seen all"

"Then why were you pretending?"

"It's your show, kookie. How could I not see it?"

He came and hugged me. I'm so happy that I got my friendship back.

I went into the garden and saw all the couples who were sitting down but one couple caught my eye..the girl was leaning her head on the guy's shoulder. I was reminded about the incident which happened between me and Lisa in the taxi. I still want to kiss her lips...but where is she? I scanned the area to find her but I saw something else...Jimin and Rosè were I guess fighting? I went to see what's the matter...but Rosè got angry and went ahead. I started following her...she was just sitting on a bench and looking at the beautiful view.

I went from behind and put my arm around her neck and gestured her to tell me what happened.

"I was just angry at him because he spent 2 lakhs....like literally??"

In order to make her feel more at ease I started joking.

"So you don't love him anymore?"

"What?! Of course I do. Even though I get angry at him at times doesn't mean that i have stopped loving him...and the anger doesn't even last for a long period of time... "

She continued.

"How do I explain it....you know, it's like before I met him, I was fine....but now I know that I can be happy too....it's simple...with certain people...things just seem better by spending time with them"

I was again remembered of Lisa and that's why I did what I did next.
