Chapter 26

Whatever he did, wherever he went, everything reminded him of her. It was nearly impossible for him to stop thinking about her after all he loved her. But will he be able to forget his dream and start a new life with you? He was confused. He still didn't know what he wanted. During the marriage ceremony he could see Lisa literally everywhere which was not helping his situation.

After the ceremony was over his friends were bidding him goodbye and after that Lisa came in his view....she was close to crying.

At that moment Jungkook was sure what he had to do. He knew he had to do this for your good as well as for his good. He was broken and devastated which didn't help his situation at all.

So he left.

Lisa couldn't stop the tears from falling. She knew why he did what he did and she was not against it at all. Infact she respected his decision.

He was now at the airport. But then he suddenly remembered his stepmom and went to bid her goodbye. After all the kid didn't want it to happen to her as well.

Flashback

"Dad....You've given me enough money already.  There is no need for more"

Jungkook saw that his father was very close to crying. "Dad, are you crying?"

"Well, I'm finally getting rid of you. I'll  miss you. This house is going to feel empty without you"

"Aren't you happy, Dad?"

"Of course I'm happy! But I'm also a little selfish, I don't want to lose you"

Jungkook was beyond confused. What was his dad trying to say?

"What are you trying to say? You don't want me to go to America?"

"How does it matter what I want? Do you ever listen to anything I say?"

"It does matter, Dad. If you didn't want me to go, you should've said it before. You can still say it"

Jungkook didn't know why he said that. He wasn't sure if he could stay with his family and leave all his dreams.

"Then don't go"

And here it is. The thing he most feared. Of course he wouldn't hurt his dad and still go but his heart wasn't prepared to stay back as well.

"Okay" That was his decision.  He couldn't just let himself hurt his own dad.

"Would you do that for me?"

"Yes"

"For you to say that is also enough. Now listen, go wherever you want to go. Do whatever you want to do. Live life any way you want to. And remember one thing, whatever happens in life, I'll always be with you."

Present

I'm tired of running. I never respected time and now Dad's gone. If only I could tell him how much I love him....

He was now back at his house to meet his stepmom and bid goodbye.
His stepmom understood that the kid regretted his decisions now that his father is not here any more.

"Kookie, do you know what gave your father most happiness? Not me, not your mother and not even his work. It was you all along. You made him happy. Do you know why? Because you never gave up on your dreams, you lived life on your own terms. He understood how difficult it is to carve your own path through life. And he was proud that you had the courage to walk that path."
"If you want to tell your father how much you love him, you need to do what you've always done. Live your dreams. Listen to your heart "

Jungkook didn't know why but his heart was telling him something else. Something he never thought he would want to do.

Whoa I'm actually back😧 never thought I'll even update this book again, I was thinking of discontinuing it but meh...it's quarantine and I don't have anything to do so why not? I know you'll  didn't miss me or this book at all😂😳 but I just wanted to give this book an end. That's why I came back . And I know I had made a promise of updating it in March itself but i didn't have the mood to update it instead I started another book😅😅. .but I'm really sorry . I'll try to update it fast next time as well.....but but but no promises😑 you never know what will happen
