~Markus' POV~
After I talked to Simon, I went outside, to a park nearby. There was something to see every season, even winter. This time that something was the grass that grew nicely underneath the snow before it melted. It gave the park a nice pop of colour through all the greys and the cold shades of brown and blue.
As I was sitting on the bench, observing my surroundings and sketching them in my book, I noticed someone walking towards me. It was Josh.
"Markus! There you are, I looked everywhere and couldn't find you" He said as he waved at me.
"Oh, sorry for that. I should've told you I was going to be here" I said and smiled
"That's fine" He started, "I wanted to talk to you about something. I think it's quite important"
"What is it?" I asked
"It's about Simon" He sighed and paused a little "Doesn't it seem like he is a regular android? I mean, a non deviant. His tone has become just so monotone and empty" He said and looked down with a worried look.
His words left me speechless for a few seconds. I noticed it too. The empty tone and programmed personality, but I thought it was just because he shut down and needed a few minutes to get back to his normal self.
"I noticed it as well. Do you think that could be just because of the shut down?" I asked.
"Possibly. But when I was talking to him about North, I said that she is like a child sometimes. He said 'that's fine, I'm programmed to deal with children'. Doesn't that sound weird?" Josh asked.
I was left a little speechless yet again.
"Yeah... it does." I said and paused. There had to be something that we could do, and the most reasonable idea I could come up with was to see Connor. "Let's go and see Connor. He should know what's up. He is the one that took Simon to Kamski after all" I muttered as I kept on thinking about the situation.~3rd person~
Markus and Josh started walking towards the police station where they would find Connor, and hopefully get some help from him as well as Hank.
They walked quietly, though it didn't feel like it to them. Their minds were clouded with thoughts. How was it possible for a deviant to go back to "normal"? Why did it have to happen to their dear friend?.
Before they even knew it, they arrived at the police station. Markus went first and walked to Connor's desk. He was pleased to find that him and Hank were there.
"Hello Markus, Josh! What brings you here?" Connor asked and showed a smile.
"Hi Connor! We have a bit of a problem and we want to know if you could help" Markus said, his tone serious and his eyes fixed on the floor.
"What is the problem?" Connor asked
"Is it possible for an android to lose his deviance due to shutting down?"
"Interesting question. I am not exactly sure, I will have to look into it a bit more" Connor started, then hesitated for a moment "May I ask why? Did something happen to Simon?" He asked, though he kept his tone quiet. The question made Hank rise his head and direct his eyes towards Markus and Josh then back to Connor.
"Yes... He has been acting strange. Though he has only been up for a few hours, he doesn't sound like himself. He acts like a newly made house android, and we think that he is no longer a deviant" Josh said.
"If that is the case, try to wake him up like you did with all the others. If that doesn't work, give me a call and I will see what I can do" Connor said. The two males in front of him nodded and thanked him then made their way outside and back to the mansion. They stood silent again, but it didn't bother them. They just both prayed that they would be able to wake Simon up.((Yaaay after 5 years I finally released another chapter! Sorry for the wait, but I don't think I will be able to write quickly ))
