Deviant Couple // Simkus Fan Fiction

              ~Simon's POV~
The revolution is over. At last, Androids are free. So... why do I not feel happy? Could it be because of the many we lost, or perhaps it is because of the kiss... I planned on confessing after it was all over, but there is no point in doing it now. Markus has North on his side, he doesn't need me. Maybe it is selfish to be sad for myself instead of happy for them, but I can't help it.

Connor is here with all the Androids he managed to rescue from Cyberlife. Markus is going to make a speech soon. "Hey, Simon! Come up there with Markus, North, Connor and I. We want you to be there, you are one of the leaders after all" Josh said to me. I give him a smile. It's not forced, I feel sad, but I would lie if I said that I am not happy at all. "Sorry Josh, I want some time for myself, but I will listen to the speech" I say and turn around, then walk away.
Where am I going? Why did I not go up there... is all I can think of. I ended up going behind the whole crowd. In a place where I can be alone.

                ~3rd person~
"This is all crap! Androids are not people, they're not alive. They don't deserve to be" A voice says. It is a soldier.

The person turns their gun towards the one android in their sight. One that is sitting alone behind the crowd. One with blond hair that is listening to Markus' speech.
 
The crowd cheers after the leader has spoken. After freedom has been declared.

BANG

The last bullet fired during the revolution echoes in the night and silences the cheering crowd.

               ~Simon's POV~
BANG
Huh...? What is happening...
Error signs pop all over. Something got damaged. I fall to the ground, on the snow that is slowly turning blue. That is my blood...
The cheering and the noise stops. Everything turns black and white, followed by a shade of pale blue, which soon fades into darkness.
//system failure//

                 ~Markus' POV~
It is finally over. We are free and I couldn't be more happy. I see Josh coming to me. "Where is Simon? Is he coming up here with us?" I ask him and look around, I can see Simon walking away to the back of the crowd. "He said he wants some time for himself" Josh said with a rather worried look.
           ((Time skip to the end of the speech))

The speech is over, and it all ends with a gun shot. I lock my eyes on the soldier that did it. He walks away, leaving behind a blond android, laying on the snow in a pool of his own blood.
Simon... no...
"No... this cannot be real..." I hear myself whispering, before I rush down and towards Simon.
