Surprise Party

Joker's p.o.v.

Batman had literally just crashed into the surprise party, which had been completely unnecessarily, considering the celebration was for him.  Joker was more irritated than angry though, since it wasn't really his fault; the caped crusader wasn't aware of the whole  situation since, if he were, it wouldn't be a surprise.

As Joker spotted the bat coming out of his iconic Batmobile, he felt his heart rate speeding up dangerously fast, his blood rushing through his veins, and those stupid little irritating butterflies flapping and fluttering  inside his stomach. Meeting with Batman was always a delight, and the clown was starting to wonder if he even liked committing crimes at all, or if he was just trying to gain Batman's attention. Either way, it's not as if he was planning to stop anytime soon.

"Very well, then. Let's just improvise. " Joker thought while smiling widely. " It's showtime."

"WELCOME BATSY! " He gave the signal to his henchmen, indicating it was time for them to do their move.

Everything went just as they had rehearsed a thousand times before, and the prince of crime couldn't help but smile in satisfaction; maybe this night wouldn't be a complete disaster after all. Maybe, just maybe, this was the night he would finally confess his feelings for the dark night.

 ... Maybe.

"Surprise!" He silenced his own thoughts. He knew better than anyone hope brought nothing but eternal misery.

Batman made his usual annoyed face, that one the clown loved so much. He knew he was trying to look superficial and, perhaps unconsciously, confident. Yet, there was something on the bat's eyes that just made him melt. Joker knew there had to be something else in there, something well hidden. Something he swore he would find, even if it was the last thing he did.

He observed the blown-up wall once more and felt quite annoyed. The door was supposed to warn the villain of the hero's arrival, but since Batman hadn't bothered to use it, the caped crusader had took them off-guard.

"There were doors, ya' know?" The clown joked.

"Not nearly as fun as breaking walls." The bat replied.

Joker smiled inside and even blushed a little. Damn, the butterflies were incredibly riotous this particular day, but he couldn't help feeling that way. His beloved hero making jokes or bragging about his remarkable sarcasm was something the villain truly enjoyed, no matter how short those moments were. After giggling and rolling his eyes, still thrilled by the bat's comment, he composed himself.

"Fun, yes!" Joker continued. "That is precisely why we're here tonight!" He made a pause to jump from the platform he was in and landed in front of Batsy. "To have fun~" He sang.

"Ummm...I'm sorry, but I have school tomorrow." The annoying brat rudely interrupted him. "Could you do this tomorrow, maybe? " Joker felt his anger slowly begin to boil inside his flesh.

The prince of crime tried his best to keep smiling, even when he wanted to slap the kid's mouth shut. Who even invited this party pooper? Well, not Joker! So if the booger-ball had part-time child prison tomorrow, he should've thought twice about intruding his party. It wasn't the clown's fault.

"You... brought the kid, huh?" Batman resigned to just nod slightly, not taking the hint. "Nice."

Silly Bats. He wasn't the best at romantic meetings. After all, everybody knows you don't take your "son" to a date with your most-probable future husband. Everyone but the dark knight, of course.
