Harley's p.o.v.

"How long has he been like this?"

The green, nature-lover villain asked with her arms crossed, looking, for the first time, sincerely worried for the clown. Harley deeply appreciated this little gestures from her girlfriend, little yet amazing things like being there for her and his soul-brother during hard times, even when she wasn't really fond of the Prince of Crime.

"Two months and a half." She answered, sighing sadly.

The clown had barely made it out alive from the burning factory, thanks to a specially kind henchman who had helped the skater criminal carry him away from harm's way and into safety. After healing some minor wounds on his skin, they had taken him to his room to let him rest, but the heartbroken, incriminated villain hadn't set a foot outside ever since .

"Yesterday I heard loud, crashing noises and I got worried, so I called you. I'm sorry if I bothered you. " She apologized.

"No, sweetie, it's OK,  you didn't bothered me at all. " Ivy held her face on her hands, kissing her forehead softly. "I was actually glad you called me. I was starting to miss you. "

Haley giggled. She looked around and behind her girlfriend, in search for the other villain fellows she had called. No sign of them. Lately, it had been harder than usual to find her friends, and criminal deeds had decreased impressively. Rumor had it a new commissioner was doing some splendid job, like no other hero had ever done ... Considering how most of her partners were missing, and she herself was too afraid to commit a crime of her own, rumors were right.

"Weren't the others coming too? Where are they? " She asked confused, kind of knowing the answer since the start.

"Captured, gone." Ivy's eyes became serious again. "This girl... that Insani Teapars... She's doing something our friend Batman wouldn't approve. She's dangerous, girl. I think were the only ones left. "

"I bet she's the one who sent that cheap imitator to attack me and boo-boo. He even shot the bat's kid! And my dear puddin' payed the price for his deeds!" She whined, looking at the locked door of the clown's cold room. "Because of him, he hasn't eaten, moved, and I'm sure he hasn't been sleeping, either. " She wiggled her fist in the air angrily. "Oh, if I ever meet with whoever did this to him, I'll make sure- !"

Two strong hands on her shoulders interrupted the skater before she could end her phrase. She looked up to the redheaded girl, who was looking at her with concerned, motherly eyes, as if she had just seen a ghost. Harley was baffled by this sudden action.

"Listen, Harley. " She almost ordered. "If you ever do come across Teapars, what you have to do, is run. You cannot risk fighting her or her people and being captured. What they do... I don't know what it is, but villains aren't coming out of Arkham anymore. " Her grip soften, and her glare did too. "I just...I don't know what I would do if I lost you. "

"D'awww!" The skating criminal hugged the villainous gardener tightly, tears accumulating inside her eyes. She sniffed a little.

"Are you OK?" Ivy asked, a little bit shocked, but returning the hug anyways.

"Yeah, yeah... It's just, this past few months have been hard, you know? I've never seen him like this before. I'm just worried he'll never get over this, or that he'll... " She couldn't say it. The thought was painful enough, to think he could be gone forever. "...He'll do something stupid."

Ivy smiled motherly-like, and hugged her tighter. She placed a finger sweetly under her chin, lifting it, kissing her tenderly, delicately. Harley smiled at her, and stuck her tongue playfully, making her mistress giggle. They stood there, only gazing into each other's eyes, saying everything without words, without her mouths moving.
