Body Found Has Many Worried

Article submitted by Sam Patterson

The water dam  and park off Leforge Road became the scene of a murder investigation Monday morning when two fishermen spotted what appeared to be the remains of an unidentified body.  According to Ypsilanti Police Department's Chief Kevin Wallace, officers responded to the area and quickly quarantined it until detectives and personnel from Washtenaw County Coroner's Office could retrieve what some eyewitnesses have called a mutilated corpse washed up along the riverbank.  Despite June 29th being the date of the gruesome discovery, residents are assured that in no way do authorities believe the case to have any connection with the already rumored Widower Murders.  "At the moment," Chief Wallace wanted to go on record as saying.  "All we have is a body.  So please. Let's not jump to conclusions and make a serial killing out of what very well may have been nothing more than a simple boating accident."
