When Samantha arrived, Javis and I were busy deciding which room could be converted into a home office and how we should go about hiring at another estate staff member. Not desiring to use the space which had served as my father's, I chose an area on the complete opposite side of the mansion. I purposely selected it because it had the least memories and was easily accessible from my room’s private entrance. An additional employee I figured was mandatory. Jarvis had laboured many years for my family and I aimed to lighten his workload as much as possible.
Similar to my father before me, I too thought it best I ran Price Investments from where I didn't have to be consumed with company affairs. "Delegate, Master Fence," Jarvis had repeatedly reminded me. "There are twenty-two individuals who report directly to you, sir. They know the specifics of their duties and responsibilities better than you or I ever will. The daily operations of the business you must allow them to manage and only intervene when necessary. That way you’ll be less stressed and tremendously appreciated and respected as their new boss." Advice that as I left the office renovations and staff member hiring in Jarvis’ hands, I found equally applicable.
