"Kings will be made and kings will die, guess which I will be." He had been grim from the moment he had taken the throne. It had never been his dream to be king, you knew it, everyone knew it. That was something decided for him and let's face it Thor wasn't exactly the most follow orders type of guy. Still he took his responsibilities and it was as if he was a new person, one zapped of all joy replaced with a stern old man. Always two steps ahead but never thinking with excitement for the future. Apparently he'd even taken to riddles, you hadn't expected maturity and wisdom would make for a stoic grump. He need to be snapped out of it, or at least a mood booster. For someone who looked this good in a crown he was in dire need of a makeover.

"Did you truly believe I would abandon you?" He lacked his usual playfulness that could have really turned this whole thing around. Instead, there was only a certain time of grit to his voice, as if he was offended by the thought of you lacking faith. The blue eye you had become used to watching you looked at you differently now. It was cold, only then did you realize he had been waiting for an answer.

" Cut off the first head." Thor demanded, offering you his own sword rather than the more preferable and less grisly option like an axe. He didn't look up, only staring downward at what could only be assumed was someone important enough to earn losing their head. "You wanted my respect. You have to earn it. Cut off the head, we'll put it on a spike, it sends a message. Or is that too much for you?" He finally spoke up when he noticed you made no move to take the sword or really even complete the request. By the raised eyebrow and the condescending tone, turning down this 'offer of a lifetime' didn't seem to be an option. "The blade is sharp, swing fast and precise and you'll do it in one go."
