KIREN!!
I jolted upright with a gasp. What the hell was that? "Tiye..." the name slipped past my lips in a whisper. Everything was slightly blurry but I felt a familiar touch.
I peered to my left and came face to face with the same silver eyes of the man in my dream.
"Kiren! Are you alright? You're sweating like crazy!" Next came the face then a voice I recognised.
"G-gray?" I breathed heavily, the sound of my heart pounding was loud enough for me to hear. "Are you alright?" He repeated. I tried to calm down and focus on what he was saying to me. "You were screaming something in your sleep. Titti? No. Toast? Tire?" He questioned as his brows creased together in thought.
"Tiye." I said more to myself than him. But he heard anyway. What was that? I had never seen that before. Who was the other man in the dream and why did he look so much like-
"Kiren!" Gray interrupted. "You've got to stop zoning out on me, man. Are you honestly alright?" He shook me as I tried to focus on his voice.
"Move..." I tried to say over the ringing in my ears. I looked around frantically, searching for nothing in particular.
"What was that? What did you say?" Gray urged on. His hand was shaking slightly.
"I said move!" I spoke louder this time almost yelling in his ears. I needed to get up! He sprung back as I swung my legs over the edge of the bed, the sheets creasing at my frantic movements.
I rushed towards the door ignoring Gray's presence completely. But before I could grab the door handle, Gray was in front of me at once. Our chests collided as I pursued towards the door.
"Kiren." His voice was low and held no room for interference. He placed his palm on my chest softly, but from his touch a striking pain went through my body bringing me back to reality. Slowly, I stopped moving. "You're going to calm down and listen to me. Do you understand?" He continued. His voice was deep and demanding. I didn't know what happened, but instantly a cold wave went through me.
When I finally looked up at him, his grey eyes were already focused on mine, the colour shining like crystal ice. Gone was the cheeky smile that always adorned his face. He looked serious, almost menacing as he started back at me. Did he do that?
"Y-you used it..." I started to cough. I stumbled a bit as I shook my head vigorously. I couldn't focus.
"Of course I used it, you mole rat." He rolled his eyes and crossed his arms. "It's not like I could get your attention any other way." He shrugged then proceeded to lightly slap my cheek. "You good now?" He examined my face, "Uh, you'll be fine."
There was silence when he noticed I wasn't answering him. He examined me once more then swiftly pulled away; his face now completely straight and eyes wide.
What did he just see? He seemed almost in a-
"Tiye." I said, changing the subject and atmosphere completely.
He choked. My eyes found his in a second. "W-wha...what did you just...-"
"Tiye." I repeated but with more finality. "She is cold." I tilted my head, "Save her." With that, I pushed past him and headed out the door.
It took him a few seconds to realise what I had said.
"Wait!" He ran after me. "Kiren! H-how do you..? Wait! Who is she?"
He wasn't the only one confused. I felt so lost. Who was this Tiye?
Liam was waiting outside the bedroom door, when I walked past him.
Why did I say that? Save her? Who is she, and why did I have this longing for something that I had lost?
Before I knew it, I had left the manor. I didn't know where I was going, but my feet wouldn't stop moving. It was like I wasn't in control of my own body.
I could tell that Gray and Liam were following me as I broke out into a sprint. The woods weren't far from my home, so it only took a few minutes for me to be in deep.

As I ran, I observed him. The world around us started to shake the more Kiren moved. The ground started to crack and there was a rise in his speed. It was clear to see.
It wasn't him running.
I looked to Liam on my right, our eyes locked as we both noticed what was going on. Our eyes blackened as we spoke to each other.
Gray, master is no longer in control.
I know. This isn't good though.
Liam nodded. Then, that means it's-
Our attention was brought somewhere else as we ran into a wintery landscape. How fast had we been running and where the hell was Kiren? My eyes zoned in on a stick that was standing upright, only to realise it was him in the distance. He was just standing there, still.

{Kiren's pov}
I kept on running even as my bare feet touched snow. My breath became laboured and my body started to shake from the cold. There was a ringing in my ear as I came to a stop.
Before me was this girl. She was slowly limping my way, her eyes - almost clouded - were focused on the ground. She hadn't noticed me yet, therefore continued to move towards me.
She looked so drained and just out of energy. Her long black hair was dishevelled and all over the place. Her clothes were torn and seemed a size too small for her body.
For some reason my heart ached at the sight of her and I found myself slowly walking her way. Cautiously, like if I walked too fast she'd run away. Every step she took brought me internal pain.
What hurt me the most were her eyes, they were so dull, but full of stories that no innocent soul should be told. Before I knew it, I was standing in front of her. She came to a stop.
Silence pierced the air as her eyes slowly moved to look up at mine. What I saw in them pulled at my heartstrings. I didn't look for long as my eyes were drawn to her lips when they opened to say something.
" ."
As soon as the word left her mouth my heart broke. I felt myself move forward to catch her just as her knees gave way and she went toppling to the floor. We both fell to the ground, my knees digging into the snow and her body in my lap, head tucked into the crook of my neck.
I noticed a drop of liquid on her bare shoulder and I looked up to check if it was raining. It was only then that I noticed it wasn't, and that I had tears rolling down my face.
My shoulders shook as I held onto her tighter.
