The wind blew vigorously around the land. Hitting and colliding into anything that stood in its way. The ancient pyramids stood tall and refused to flinch under the wind's scrutiny. The full moon shone brightly against the hot sand, giving an eerie and ghostly look to the ground. There was nothing to behold except for the deadly aura left to this land. The grand empire of Egypt, now lay, an empty shell of what it used to be. The night almost looked inviting, that of the devil's wish. To bind you, trap you, encage you in its grip. However, it was merely just a deserted land, stripped of its riches, its people and evidently, its life. The darkness, the smoke and the pyramids stayed as a permanent reminder of what it had once been and as a stinging revelation to what it could now never be.

This specific section had been closed off for a long while now. Closed off from tourists, the newspapers, the articles, the spotlight and the outside world. It had been forgotten by the people that had stripped it in the first place. Generations went by and not one person tried to uncover its secret. There may have been one or two people to try, but they were never seen or heard of again once they ventured and crossed over the threshold from light into the darkness.

There was an unusual groaning in the near distance as a bright light shone from the ground surrounding the biggest pyramid in the area. The lazer like form of the light continued to shine upwards, spiraling around the pyramid as though it were keeping watch. Slowly, but surely, the lights started to shine an illuminous shade of purple, slowly diminishing until there was no light to be seen. On the forefront of the pyramid, a large door, hidden by its brick-like appearance was stationed in the middle. Soon a dark rumble ripped through the silence as the door opened with a groan. Chains were connected to its hinges as it gravitated towards the ground. A tunnel was lit up ahead by candles lined up along the stone walls in pairs of two.

There was an uproar of voices as a deep and slow echo of the beat of a drum pulsed through the tunnels like a song. Inside, there was a main area that was dark and had a deadly aura permeating the space. A lean, tan-skinned man, who stood at 5ft and 11 inches, was placed at the front on a raised stage. His right eye was a deep black, the other a glowing purple. He had a scar running under his chin, stretching from ear to ear. The man stood up from his throne-like chair and raised his arm, his gloved hand holding a chipped goblet that contained a deep red liquid. His black scabbard was strapped loosely around the waist, the handle head of his sword poking out. The head of a Chimaera was carved at the top, a deadly creature that breathed fire over nations. The man cleared his throat as everyone became silent.

"My good people," He started, "Our time has come to take what is rightfully ours." His voice was croaky and deep, booming in the open space. "The threats are soon to manifest, therefore we must awaken and raise up our soldiers." The crowd roared in approval of the man's words, excited for what was soon about to take place. Their drinks spilled everywhere from when they clashed the goblets together as they all started to chant in Latin.

"Resurgemus! Resurgemus! Resurgemus!" The chant got louder as the crowd started to stomp their feet to the drum. The man smirked, tilting his head back and devouring his drink whole.

His plan was soon to come into play.

"Stop pacing around like that and go freshen up, you look like a starved mole rat. Go have a shower, something to eat and clear your head, it's already 2pm and you've done nothing to occupy yourself," Gray complained. He was seated with his legs crossed, a fanta in his right hand as he waited coolly. I looked over to the fireplace to see Liam just sat there with a blank face staring at the fire. We made it back home, called the doctor and gave him the strange woman to check up on and I'd been pacing the room ever since. I had been dragged out of my bedroom, by both companions, 3hrs prior when I refused to leave her side. I'm confused as to why I am so drawn to her and because of this, I've been walking around like a madman.

"But I don't understand, why?" I asked myself, my hands holding my head.

"What don't you understand about 'Go freshen up'? Why? Why?! Oh, I tell you why, you stink like crap for one and two? Don't get me started on your face." Gray continued with a grimace and a shake of his head. "You look rotten and yet you expect me to be okay with it? May I remind you, you made Liam and I run after you for a good hour into some random iceland for a woman that you don't even--"

"That's enough Gray." Liam spoke out. He turned to us, no longer facing the fire, holding me captive in his purple glare as he continued to speak, his stare causing me to still my movements. "Gray I understand that you are frustrated, but you also have to remember who you are speaking to and what this may or may not be about." He spoke to Gray as though he knew what was going on.

"Maybe about what?" I questioned. What was he on about and why did I feel excluded from the conversation even though he was looking directly at me.

"Notice the time of year Gray, and what time the last appearance came?" Liam continued, completely ignoring my question. I squinted my eyes. I don't like being ignored.

"Liam, didn't you hear--" My words were cut off as maid Elsy opened the doors to the room. All forgotten, I swiveled round to face her, expecting the doctor instead. I noticed her swallow and continue to look behind her back. My eyes squinted again while she continued to repeat those actions for a few minutes.

"Out with it then! How is she? And stop looking around like that." I was starting to get agitated as I asked the questions. Elsy jumped and stared at me with wide eyes as though she just noticed my presence. "Well?" Gray asked as he and Liam started to stand up. Why wasn't she saying anything?

When we all took a step towards her, that was when she started to open her mouth.

"Um, sir, s-she is awake." the maid swallowed, her eyes looking around frantically as her faint blonde hair messily lay across her forehead. What more wasn't she saying? I raised an eyebrow, to indicate that she should continue. "S-she's chained to the bed sir, and Doctor Price is injured." She rushed out.

"Okay? So we know that she's feisty and that Doctor Price is injured, what about it? Gray asked, confused.

"B-but Master Gray, that's not the important part, it's the fact that he's not healing," She said as her voice cracked and she ran away, leaving the door open as we saw her descending the stairs, down the hall that lead to my bedroom.

"What?" I breathed out, utterly confused. "He's not healing? But that shouldn't happen, he's a Lycan." I shook my head in disbelief. "Who is she?" I continued.

I looked over at Liam and Gray to see them already looking at me with an expression that mirrored mine. We all looked back at the open door. Gray spoke up, "The question we shouldn't be asking ourselves is who she is, but rather-"

"-What she is." I finished for him.
