Chapter 27

We entwine our fingers and walk towards the gate; I opened it and close it after her. We walked down the road, with her asking me various about where I was taking her, it was quite funny, she was begging me to tell her where we were going. I know that she doesn’t like surprises so it must have been torture for her. Hehe I’m such good boyfriend.

‘Lambyyy where are we going!!??’ She asks tugging my arms. I have an amazing idea!

‘Piggy? Can you wear something for me?’ I whisper into her ear, pushing her hair off her neck and planting kisses on her neck, making her giggle, Damn she’s cute.

‘Sure! As long as I don’t end up looking like a prostitute!’ She says as if it’s nothing! But I end up pissing myself. She’s so funny! That’s another thing I love about her.

‘Haha, no you won’t I would never make you look that! It’s just a blindfold!’ I say like the innocent guy that I am.

‘A BLINDFOLD?! YES YES YES!!’ She screams jumping up and down on the spot grabbing it out of my hands and wrapping it around her head shouting ‘TIE IT TIE IT BABY!’

‘Your wish is my command’ I say still laughing at her. ‘Just calm down OK?’ she nodded in agreement and I checked that she couldn’t see out of blindfold, which she couldn’t, so we carried on walking. We chatted about the previous couple days as we walked and after a half and hour which should have only taken about 10 we arrived. It took us longer because Tia kept tripping over her own legs, I knew she had poor balance because if I even tapped her as a joke she would end up on the floor, so taking away her vision just made it worst, it was for me though, hilarious! The worse fall made her cut her knee but she doesn’t know because of the blindfold. She is such a tank because it looks really painful and I know Jai would be crying by now, however she just picked herself up laughing. Freak ;). Anyway we are here and it looks beautiful like usual, me and Jai have so many good memories up here like when I tripped over a log and punched Jai in the balls by accident and he stumbled off into the wooded bit and started crying then throw up! It was SO funny and when we stole mum’s spare tyre for the car and some rope and made our own rope swing which mad lots of problems like when I fell off and broke my arm and I had to tell mum that I fell over when walking Lala, I refused to tell mum or Beau about our secret place. The best part was when mum was taking me to the hospital because of my arm with the rest of my brothers the tyre went and mum needed the spare trye which she kept in the boot, however me and Jai had already used it, naturally we blamed it on Beau still not wanting anyone to find out about what really happened, mum ended calling our Nonno and Nonna to come and take us to the hospital! Good times. The place is beautiful, it’s hidden by a mini forest then followed by a meadow full of different coloured flowers and dragon flies whizzing past you as you run through it sending flocks of birds into the air covering the sky like a blanket, blocking all the sun light out for a brief second, and in the middle stands a willow tree with all of its branches hanging down hiding the trunk as if it some sort of present ready to be unwrapped and uncovered, the willow tree is also the only part of the meadow which I sheltered. I take the blindfold off Tia’s eyes as we get to the forest and she smiles straight away noticing the rope swing hanging off the tallest tree. The biggest smile appears on her face and she starts spinning around taking in all the views around her.

‘Luke-.’ She starts before I interrupt her.

‘Tia this is part of mine and Jai secret place only we know about, we said we would never share it with anyone and we promised each other that when we were 6 but last night I asked Jai the hardest question, one that I never thought I would be asking him for another 10 years or so, but when I meet you 3 and a half weeks ago I realised that I needed to show you this before I lose you. I asked Jai if I could share our place with you, because you mean so so much to me, I don’t think you realise how much you mean to me, you can make me laugh be simply being stupid and spontaneous and you can make me cry from laughing so much, and by thinking that I potentially only have 1month and 1 week left with you scares the shit out of me, I felt so lonely without you the other day and my whole body ached for you like if I didn’t hear you voice or smell your perfume then my heart was going to stop beating, thinking of you leaving me is like looking in the mirror and seeing a massive chunk of me missing, I love you so much, so welcome to the Meadows!’ I say holding her hands, only then did I realise that she was crying,’ No no no don’t cry baby I didn’t mean to make you cry, was it something I said?’ I ask whipping a tear from her cheeks.
