Y/N was assigned as a temporary member of the group "Twice" so as to protect them much more closely from a dangerous person. Jyp claimed that it might be one of his competitors, rivals, or people who he wronged before trying to destroy his hard-earned success. So he hired Y/N, a member of a secret assassin group. He got introduced to the group when a man in his 50s suddenly bumped into him one night in an alleyway on his way home. He introduced himself as the owner of an underground black business where they could get anything done, ranging from forging papers, illegal immigration, collecting private information from anybody, to killing anyone, with the exception of not involving themselves with politics. He explained that those things are not in his "scope" and are in fact the business of his friend. Jyp was confused and was about to walk away from this strange man when his hands were abruptly grabbed by the guy. He was handed a card before he could shout and scold the guy. The man had already left in a hurry, apologizing on his way. He looked at the card carefully. Under the streetlight, it wrote:

Black group

" If You are in any trouble or in need to get rid of someone call us and we will get it done in no time :)"

Contact no: XXX-XXX-XXXXX

Jyp was disappointed in their lack of uniqueness in naming and stuffed the card in his wallet, which is reserved only for business cards. He didn't expect to call them or even make any contact with that strange guy he met that night; he thought that he was just a con man in desperate need of customers and marketed his business that way. Heck, he even believed it was just a hallucination from all the stress he had from work. He sighed and looked at the card before calling the number cautiously while eyeing the email he received on his computer.

Y/N was finishing up work and getting ready to work when she received a shock through her watch, indicating that the big man wanted to see her. She clenched her fist and breathed heavily, earning some concerned looks from people around her. After a moment of silence and calming her nerves, she went to the big man's office. Upon arriving, she was only handed a folder and a few words about "a new mission" and "do well". She was surprised, as her "boss" would always make small talk, talking about unnecessary stuff and complimenting her while inappropriately eyeing her up and down. She didn't mind though, as this one was better than the "usual." With a nod, she exited the room without a word and went home.

In the dressing room of the black group, the members were having a debate on whether they would chase after their leader or just leave her be. The woman with cat-like eyes broke the silence first and said to leave her be, as their leader didn't show any bad reactions getting back from the office. The others agreed, but the man couldn't stay still and was about to burst the doors when a woman with a rose hairclip interrupted him, saying, "Nick, calm down; she's our leader and is the first one who got caught in this fucked up organization than any of us." Nick heaved a sigh and sat back down.

"Is it really ok to call each other our real names in this place?" someone asked with concern evident in their voice.

"It's fine, Lisa. The leader said this is the only place that is safe." Lisa breathed out in relief and thanked Y/N in her mind. Nick faced the one who has a rose for a hairclip and said, "Thanks for reassuring me, Jisoo." Jisoo only replied with a smile and asked the woman seated in front of her, "Why do we have to call each other by the number that was assigned to us anyway? It's really dehumanizing and frustrating, right Jennie?" Jennie only looked away and faced the wall, not saying anything. Jisoo turned to her right, where another woman was leaning on the wall fiddling with a butterfly knife, and asked "Rose? Right?" The woman named Rose stopped playing with her knife and explained, "Jisoo, we have no choice. Those were the rules we have to obey to continue to live, and if we disobey them, we're going to die just like that." Rose snapped her fingers to describe what would happen to them.

"HAH!, Live? Are we even living right now? I prefer when we were begging on the streets, beating up bastards, and stealing their money than this fucked up shit!" Lisa argued and huffed angrily. The others nodded, agreeing to her argument, and regretted their life choices in silence, saying they thought the same thing but about different events.

"I shouldn't have accepted that deal from the devil."

[Author's notes]

{Yinzzy}

Hello, It's been awhile huh? Sorry I just went into like an existential crisis and before I knew it. The pandemic happened and all hell broke loose. yknow, depression, writers block, stress, , financial crisis to almost losing everything and all that. I wanted to update my stories, but I just couldn't during those bad times. Finally things started to somewhat calmed down, being mentally kind of stable and having the will to write again. I received a notification from Wattpad about a comment of this story saying "Author please update this story please. You left on a cliff  hanger...." and that comment surprised me. I didn't know that people are still reading this and is still interested on how this story progress and end. Tbh, I wanted to revise the whole thing and changed my writing style from 2019 to how I write things now, But I didn't cuz I am lazy hehehehe. Anyways, I still don't have a clear sched to update as I am still getting my bearings, but I can promise I will work on this and bring this to a satisfying ending. That's all for now! cya next chapter!

I guess the authors curse is true huh?
